Hello everyone
Saturday I was up early working in the yard. I got half of front yard done. I got the mulch out rock area. and rock out of the mulch area. I had to dig up quite a bit of the old mulch before I put down the new mulch. But it looks so much nicer now. I can't wait to get the other side done.
I did find a dead baby bunny in my garden. Poor little critter. I took my little shovel and got rid of him. It was not enjoyable at all. I looked around really good and did not find any others. I found this one under the bushes and was afraid there might be more hiding. There wasn't.
Then I made Greg's brownies. I even made homemade frosting go on top. He likes frosting on his brownies. He loved them. But this morning I packed them up and made him bring them to work. I can't have them sitting around the house tempting me. LOL!!!! They are just too yummy.
We had a busy day yesterday. Greg's father wanted everyone to go to church together and have lunch. So we were up and in St Charles bright and early for Sunday mass. Then we had lunch and visited for a few hours. Then we had to come home because Greg's daughter was coming over to visit.
It was a very nice day and very busy.
Today at work I was very busy this morning. I had to fill in for a girl that is on vacation. She has reports that she runs every Monday too. She showed me how to do them quickly on Friday and wrote down the instructions. Here I am this morning trying to remember how to run her reports. It took me a few tries but I figured it out and was able to get them sent out without a hitch....yeah me!!!

There is some nasty weather headed this way. Be alert and be careful.
Monica and Scott came up yesterday afternoon for dinner. It was a nice visit.
Today, I spent over an hour with Unemployment, on the phone, or rather, waiting for someone to answer the call. The actual conversation lasted about 3 minutes, and having to fax something to them, way to much time.
I also had to wait for the AC repairman for one of the rentals. Needless to say, my morning was wasted.
And how is your Monday going?

I hope everyone survived the storms last night. Hopefully, we won't have anymore of them this evening. It looks like we go about about 3 inches of rain. At least, that is what it looks like in the rain gauge,
Yesterday, I picked up Morgan's/guest room, she is coming Tuesday to stay until Friday. No plans, but I am sure we will find something to do.
Today, Monica and Scott are coming for a BBQ. Shrimp and Lobster, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. Some fresh veggies, and Angel food cake with fruit and cool whip for dessert.
What are your plans for Father's Day 2015?

Hello everyone
I am so happy it's Friday. I will be working in the yard after work. It has been my go to exercise when it's nice outside...LOL. Actually, the section I finished earlier in the week looks nice. I want to get more done.
Like I was saying earlier the previous owner has put down a combination of lava rock and mulch. Over the years they have mixed together and it looks really messy. I have been going through and tediously picking out as much as I can of the rock and putting it back in the rock section. I then been going through the rock and taking out all of the mulch. It took me a couple of hours to get about 6x2 foot section done. I have to get more mulch.
Tomorrow I might do some more yard work. And yes Lisa I worked last night on my explosion of weeds. They were every where. Except in my flower bed...thank goodness. But I was out there spraying between the pavers. I wonder if I pack some sand in between the pavers where there are gaps...if that would stop the weeds???
Well I better get going. Have a good day all.
Errands, some picking up, and hoping to get to the explosion of weeds this week. Then, dinner out, maybe the first fire of the year.

Been to Costco, put the food away and now it is time for left overs.
One of my family members was featured on the Chi Tribune photos from the rally. He is the guy with his face painted black and red, Hawk's logo and white line down the middle. It is picture number 53. Way to go Dave!

Good Morning,
I am back, just trying to do laundry ect. We are going to a play tonight.
We went to Mall of America, O.K., done that, not impressed, no need to go again. I would like to go to the Ikea store that is there. It is 8 floors.
I had a wonderful time with the girls, but am glad to be home. I think Hubert and I will take a long weekend up there, hopefully in the fall. It will depend on my work.
We did have a fire in the fireplace every night. That was nice. BTW, there is no phone, tv,or internet. The house is in a national forest, so, no clear area for the reception.

Hello everyone
I am ready for the weekend. I have a doctor appointment today after work. Then we are going to attempt to grill out...if the weather cooperates with us. I have chicken breasts marinating in a chipotle pepper sauce. It's very good.
So what are you guys up to today?
This weekend I am making Greg some of my yummy ooey-gooey brownies for Father's Day. And his dad asked that we all go to church and breakfast together. That is his Father's Day wish...so that is what we are doing Sunday.

We got home from Chicago at 2am this morning!!! I couldn't get home fast enough!!! Carl and I did a good deed and brought a distant cousin with us to Chicago to see her sister. She hadn't seen her brothers and sisters in over three years and now I see why! She talks non stop!!! Didn't give me but 30.00 or less for gas. Even tried to ask for it back cause she wanted the cash to buy cigarettes! I told her no! I was getting irritated by then!!! She expected me to pay for everything!! Even wanted the clothes off my back!!
she told me before I left she would pay a third of the gas and one hotel. I said that's fine. She would give me a check when we got home. We pull in the drive way and then she tells me she can't give me any money cause she doesn't have it!!! I said oh? Hmmmm and got in the car!
Then today she calls and asks me when in September am I going!!! I told her she can fly on her own!!!
I told her I don't like being used like a rug!!!

Hello everyone
I hope everyone is OK after that terrible weather yesterday. I know there was a tornado spotted a little south of us.
I know Greg wants to get out and mow today. It needs it badly. I want to do some clean up. With all this rain the weeds are getting out of hand.
The taco salad was super yummy. Greg's is a bit more fattening than mine. He puts Doritos and sour cream on his.
The flooding issue seems to be under control. I tell you the people that had this house before us did not take of it at all. Not only were they not very clean but they just didn't keep up with the yard. And things like the guy fixing our flooding issue found kids toys clogging our down spouts. Really??? I did find toys and other debris when I was digging up the garden but in the gutters and down spouts??? Strange.
I know one thing I am glad I hadn't even touched the back yard, gardening. Because that flooding washed away everything in that corner of the house. I would have been so upset. As it is I have come to the conclusion not to plant anything over there. I am going to just have flower pots over there. That way if there are any future issues with flooding I can just move the pots.
