I am getting a jump on Monday since it is so late at night. Long time no be here! I do pop in to read every day but just loose time to post. I have to get better organized!
I had a good 3 day weekend. A combination of relaxing and catching up on things around the house that had been on my to do list. So I can go back to work without these things nagging me.
I have 2 weeks of work left. Time sure has flown. I have to say I am ready for it to end. There have been lots of changes and a lot of them I do not like. It seems that the new company does not care as much for customer satisfaction as our old company did. They just don't care to make things happen or make changes to things that are not working. It is sad to see customers go from excellent customer service to so so service and they are not happy about that. That and another prospective merger hanging over everyone's heads makes for a very unhappy client list. Sigh.
I hope I am not making a mistake going with the work at home company but if I dont like it I can always look for another position.
The cats are doing their cat things. They still keep us entertained. Nibbles is a party animal and at 10:30 to 11:00 at night he is rounding up everyone to play! Gizmo is becoming a great escape artist. The thought hit me the other day that we do not know if he can find his way home. Everytime he escapes, someone finds him, calls us and we go get him and he gets a ride home! Smart cat! He has made friends with the kids up the block and keeps heading there!
Crystal, it is exciting to read about your wedding preps. I cant wait to see a picture of your dress. Your big day will be here soon!
It sounds like everyone is having a pretty good summer.
Chris, I hope you are taking good care of Dave. He sure has given you a run for your money these last few months! Hope he is feeling better!
Sharon, I know you are enjoying time with your grandbabies!
Dawn, I am sure you are enjoying Liz being home for the summer.
Lisa, it sounds like you have gotten lots of family time this summer with the kids and Morgan. That is always fun.

Good Morning, I am not going to do to much today. except smoke some ribs. That, somw leftover slaw from yesterday, corn on the cob, leftover dump cake, and a fruit salad will be our dinner. I may throw something else on the smoker too, just because.
We did have a bit of excitment yesterday. We were out in back, getting ready for our BBQ, when Hubert noticed black smoke coming from next door, one of our rentals. He grabbed a hose and headed over there. They were grilling on a propane grill, when the pipe that feeds the gas to the grill flew off and sent the propane tank into the corner of the house. Thank goodness all it did was melted the siding, and burned up a chair. The fire department showed up and finished making sure the fire was out. Now we will see what our insurance company will do.
Our fireworks were great as usual.

Hi Chris and Friends,
we stayed in yesterday and last night. G worked 12 days straight and he just needed to relax. I am covered in mosquito bites from being out and about and just didn't want to sit out last night and get eaten up again.
After church we are taking the grandbabies to a splash pad and then out to dinner.

Happy 4th!
I never went outside yesterday as the skeeters are horrible.
I leave for the Creek at about 1:45 to serve food to the teams. One our good friends will help me since Dave will stay home.
Need to straighten up some insurance paperwork before leaving.

Happy Friday, Today is the start of a 3 day weekend for most. Hubert is working all weekend, but he is off today. His normal day off. Our kids are coming today. No other plans then to enjoy today with them.

I decided to invite some friends over on Saturday Night for a 4th of July BBQ, then go up to the Fireworks. They shoot them off at the high school field, about 3 blocks from the house. This year will be special in the sense that Streator's is the only one within 40/50 mile that hasn't been called off because of the soggy ground and swollen rivers.
So. today is doing some errands and hopefully picking up the back yard.

Yeehaa! Got me some rest!
Me can't do much other than stick close to the house. I have some things that got way laid on Sunday that I was to do in the yard and I think that I will tackle some of that this week-end. We have the Creek on Saturday and I will be doing all the walking and food service.

Hello everyone
I am happy about the fact it looks like no rain for the next 5 days...yahoo!!!. I am even going to wash my car for the first time in over a month. Now that will jinx us for sure.
Greg's birthday is coming up and I am busy trying to make up my mind on what to do. I was planning on making homemade chocolate cake. But I know he would also love to have a chocolate ice cream cake...so I am not sure what to do. I have to get him his present still. But I am waiting on purpose because he sees the bank statement online and will know what I got him.
Yesterday I went to Macy's and got my under things. Now it's a matter of putting them on and then putting the dress on and seeing how it all fits. Ugh....cross your fingers.
Christine- just the worry alone is enough to exhaust a person. I know it does me.
