Happy Tuesday.
I hope you all survived yesterday's weather with no damage. I think most of the weather was north of us. We only got a couple of downpours.
The flooring was finally done in the basement entrance. All Hubert has to do now is to pick up the railing and have it installed. Who knows. we might even get the outside siding done this year.
I can't decide if I want to work on weeds today or cleaning out a closet. Something will get done.
Crystal, how exciting it will be to have both your and Gregg's daughters home for your party. Have yo decided on a date yet?
Chris, Please be careful pushing Dave around.
Have a great day,
Hugs
Happy Tuesday. We are moving on closer to the middle of the week.
I am trying to figure out if I want to make a trip to Costco today or on Wednesday . . . I will figure that out later in the day. I had paperwork left on my desk by the boss man that he could not figure out. I have explained the balances on this in the past and for whatever reason it does not stick in his head. Oh, well at least I am employed.

Hello everyone
What a nice weekend it turned out to be.
Friday I came home and worked outside. I power washed the whole front of the house and the front porch. Then I sprayed weed killed in between the paver stones in the driveway and walk way and back patio. All that took about 3 hours. By the time I was done my arms were sore and I needed a bath badly.
Saturday I baked cookies. My delicious chocolate chip cookies. Then in half of them I put peanut butter chips...oh ya that was yummy. I am sending Amanda a huge container of them. Greg put up my collage of pictures in the living room. And I cleaned. Then we went into Chicago and met Greg's family at Bergoff for Greg's birthday dinner. I actually put on a skirt...he likes me in a skirt.
Sunday, we had some friends over for a cookout. The weather actually cooperated. We had a backup plan. If it had rained were going to order pizza. This was so much better. We had burgers and different salads (potato, pasta) watermelon. Then my cookies. Oh it was nice. I love our patio.
Then we got more good news. Greg's daughter from Kentucky will be here for our reception party too. So both our daughters will be in town for our party. It's like everything is working out perfectly. Oh and we were going to rent a tent for the party because rain or shine we figured we would need it. Well our friend yesterday said- don't rent one I have a 10X20 tent you can use for free!!! That just saved us $150 at least.
Christine- Be careful you don't hurt yourself taking care of Dave. That is the last thing either one of you need.
Well back to work....have a good day and stay dry!!!

We are getting nailed with rain right now. Oh joy, that means that the low area way back in my second lot will never dry.
I am a tired chick-a-dee. It is hard to push 200# of person and wheel chair through grass and a hard surface. But, I would not have had it any other way but to have Dave at the Itasca Fest with me.
What is happening in your area of IL?

Fed the birds,
did 2 loads of laundry,
A steak out for dinner, not sure if it will be done outside or in,
Just another quiet day.
Hugs,
One more day of the fest - yeah! At least the weather will be a little better than yesterday evening.
Before we go there my sister and us are going to b-fast. Mary came up from southern IN to see her grandkids.
What is going on with you and yours in Lincoln Land?

I am heading out to the Farmers market this morning. That is, as soon as I finish eating breakfast and sweeping the kitchen. Nothing else on the agenda for today. Have a great Saturday.
Hugs,
Happy Saturday!
We will be going to enjoy seeing School House Rock that is being presented by our theater group at Living Hope Church in Elk Grove Village. Then later on today we are meeting back up with a friend at Itasca Fest. The band last night Arra (80's Rock Tribute Band) was really good but loud.

We did indeed go to Itasca Fest but only stayed for a little over an hour.
Dave's ortho doc was so silly when he was looking at the MRI and where the fracture and tear were at. He kept saying over and over again - I have never seen this before and then he would giggle. He took out his cell phone and took pictures of the screen and then turned to me with a big grin on his face and asked me if I wanted to take a picture also. Dave has been going to him since 1992 and really likes him but is hard to get into. The doc signed off on paperwork for a temp handicapped permit. That will be really helpful.
Fest for the rest of the week-end and maybe a trip to Costco to meet up with my sister from IN so she can buy some stuff before she goes home.

TGIF, yesterday was not a good day. I got a message from my boss saying that they aren't sure if or when we will be starting our Liheap this fall. It all depends on the state and if they are going to release any money to the programs. It will really hurt not only the workers, in all 102 counties in Illinois, but the thousands of seniors and low income families. So, I might be retiring a year early. We shall see what happens.
Crystal, it will be great if Amanda can come for your your party.
Chris, did you and Dave go to Itaska Fest last night?
Dawn, check in please.
Jason, those 3D printers are the nuts. I wonder how expensive they are.
Nancy, It was so nice hearing from you.
Hugs to all,
