AAAWWWW!! The AC is fixed at work. The compressor went out. My room was muggy and warm. We had to go over to the village hall side or the rear of the PD to cool off. I brought in a 12" high fan for at my desk. Dispatch had it worse as they cannot leave the room. They have a portable unit for cooling.

Not planning on doing anything after work but stay inside. I had an ingrown toenail worked on yesterday. Surprisingly it does not hurt. He numbed it up first. The doc said they usually (for the second and other smaller toes) happen due to being stepped on or stubbing it. Well, I resemble that remark - I stub my toes at least 3-4 times a year. I am just staying off of it to be careful.

What is happening in your corner of Lincoln Land?

Lisa- Really!!  That makes me feel so much better.  I have been kind of stressing about that.  Thinking about what if scenarios.  That is a relief.

Sorry to hear your job is ending. you will find another.

Crystal, The last time we flew, there were 2 wedding gowns brought aboard the plane. They hung them in a closet for the girls. The tuxes too.

Trying to stay busy. I find that the house and things don't need much attention when you are always home to do them.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

I had a nice weekend.  Turned out that we were able to cookout Saturday.  So that was nice.  Brenda came over and I tried on my dress and she zipped up my dress all the way.  Oh yes it fits perfectly.  If I gained even a few pounds it probably wouldn't fit.  I can also see why strapless dresses stay up.  This thing would not go down unless I unzipped it.  Funny I always wondered.  And just between us...the boobs...it's not me...it's all dress...I start a couple inches below the dress...LOL!!!!

I will say it's a lot warmer in there than I anticipated.  I am glad it's a very short ceremony and we are by a beach.  Whew....I was very warm in that dress.  I hope it's a very cool day there that day.  Cross your fingers for 70 degrees and sunny.

Of course you know Sunday we worked on the invitations.  I thought they were cute.  It will be very low key and casual.  I am hoping that day will be nice out too.  Cross your fingers!!!!

Today at work was a bit stressful because a girl didn't come to work and I had to fill in for her.  I had to do something I trained for one time and I did one time months ago.  So I am sitting here trying to remember how to do this.  Reading the notes...not understanding other people's notes.  It took me a few tries but I finally figured it out.  Ugh.  It was nerve racking.

Sharon- my dress fits ok in the bag.  I just worried because it doesn't offer much protection (like a suitcase) if security doesn't allow me to carry my dress on board.  I mean anything can rip right through that material and the way they throw things around.  It could end up ruined.

Well better get back to work.  Have a great day all.

Hello Friends,

Where did July go to? I know it rained a lot because I have a big green garden, but hardly watered. The tomatoes and green peppers are looking good.

My job is ending in September. The owner is not renewing his lease. The auction is having a difficult time finding another company to take it over. I'm going to miss that job. I love it.

Crystal, I bought my wedding dress bag at one of those bridal stores. They sell big white ones.

Sounds like everyone has been busy. We have spent a lot of the summer with the grandkids. We also have had a lot of showers this summer. Wedding and baby showers have been keeping me busy.

Hugs,

sharon❤️

No loafing for this girl - well, maybe I will read a little bit later on.

Been to Target and the grocery store. Bought a rotisserie chicken to make salad with for lunches and they had boneless skinless on sale so I always get some and freeze it in as close to 16oz packages.

Happy Sunday,

I am declaring this day a day to loaf. God said that Sunday should be a day of rest. We need to follow that.

I am going to a party this afternoon, other then that, a couple of loads of wash to put away, and a load of dishes. That is it.

What are you doing?

Has anyone seen Sharon?

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi everyone!

Life is moving along and the store is doing great. We continue to have a great time running it and knitting with friends. Nothing much new going on here. We are going to a fish fry cookout today. Hopefully it won't rain, but they have a good sized house if it does. It sounds like everyone is kind of in the same place, enjoying life and such.

Take care,

Connie

Hello everyone

I have been busy getting the house ready for guests.  We were having a cookout but by the looks of the weather forecast we are going to be ordering pizza...LOL.  We were waiting till the last minute to see if the rain would push back and not rain this afternoon.  So for a plan "B" we are going to order out pizza.  I didn't want to worry about buying food for two different menus (plan A/B)...so the plan B is just pizza.

We are getting our invitations together for the reception.  So I will be asking for your email address.

Well time to go...have a good day

Can you believe, this is already the last Saturday in July? Where is the summer going???? They have already had the school fees in the paper, and when to register. I am so not ready for fall.

Hubert has decided we need to take a few days in August and head to Branson. That is one of our "Happy Places". We haven't been there in 7 years or so. It will be nice to get back to the Ozarks.

We have a birthday/graduation party to attend tomorrow. At least, I will go. Hubert is working as usual.

Today, I might go to the Farmers market here in town. I was very disappointed the last time I went. We will see.

Life is good.

Hugs,

Lisa
