We have no plans for this weekend at all. It will be quiet. Yesterday we were going all over with errands. From here in Streator, to Ottawa and then to LaSalle.

I told all of you I was going for new glasses a couple of weeks ago. Here's an update on that experience. I picked then up the next Tuesday, and they were blurry. The gal told me that it would take 40 min. or so for my eyes to adjust to them. Ok, I can buy that. When I got home, they still were'nt cleared up. It was Labor Day weekend, so i waited until Tuesday to run back to LaSalle, 60 miles round trip. One lens had a wrong scrip in them. They then called me on the following Tuesday that they were ready for pickup.  Back to LaSalle we go. I still couldnot see across the room. So, after an hour of them trying to get them right, I said I wanted my money back. They informed me that there would be a 20% restock fee. Something like $130. We hit the roof. No way am I paying for their screwup. We told them that we wanted to talk to their corp. offices. I finally got a full refund in the mail yesterday. They did offer a $50. credit on another pair of glasses, I let them know that I would never be back. The company was All About Eyes.

Ok. So much for my rant. I need to go get some pears and cabbage for a salad I want for tonight.  What are you up to today?

Hello everyone

The last couple days were busy ones for me.  I think today will be slower

I have now finished changing my name on everything.  I am just waiting for my debit card to come in with my new name.  I am officially a Holmes.  What a pain in the butt that was. 

We have been doing more around the house now too.  Now that we don't have any big plans to save up for.  So that is kind of nice.  The big thing is I can't wait to get new family room furniture.  But we agreed to wait till the credit card is paid off and we buy new tires for the car.  So first things first.  Then new furniture....but I am so impatient.  LOL

I am going to church this weekend to start classes to become a full fledge member. 

I think I will go to Walmart tomorrow to buy a few things for the outside of the house to decorate it for the Fall. 

That is about it for me.

Has anyone seen the Kmart ads yet? They are already showing Christmas ads. A bit early in my way of thinking.

Carla, I am so sorry you have been sick with dumping. I have had a few times with it, and it really doesn't matter what I am eating. Yogurt will cause it, as well as a piece of steak. There is no reason.

I am in the process of switching my closet, from all summer stuff to fall. I am leaving part of the summer stuff out, because we know we will have a few bursts of summer heat.

Meeting the kids for a Sunday dinner this afternoon. We will be celebrating Ricks birthday at a nice place in Ottawa.

I was up all night again for the second night in a row!!! Not a good thing!

Im busy this week getting the cat settled so Carl and I can leave for Illinois. I'll be there over a month as I may be having revision surgery in October. It will probably be at Evanston hospital with a Dr John Linn. I'm hoping it goes like smooth and they don't have me go thru hoops!! My stoma is stretched out and there seems to be a ball of mesh causing it.
