Good Morning,

I think the gremlins are working overtime with me. First being so sick Sunday evening, then having my hearing aid lying on the floor Monday morning, Tuesday evening finding my I pad in my lunch box instead of my purse (I take it to work for lunch time), then yesterday morning not realizing it dropped on the floor in my closet when I was changing out of my night gown when I was getting dressed for work.

Today, I need to do some housework, drop some papers off, and get to Krogers, then come home and this evening go to a play. A normal day off.

What is on your agenda for the day?

Hugs

Lisa

We just got back from The Botanic Gardens. Got my 2 mile walk in! Running after Vinnie was a challenge!

I have x-ray cot scan tomorrow and Friday at Evanston Hospital at830am. Then again on Friday.

But I'm having a problem having the schedule to call me back with the surgery date! She was supposed to call me Friday with the date and hasn't. I called her yesterday and hasn't returned my call. I need to know so I can either fly Carl home or keep him here!!!

My dog got sick in Michigan so my sweet sister had to take him for an UV yesterday. He is feeling better today!

So my life goes on!

Happy Afternoon,

I am feeling good. I have gotten through 2 days of work this week, one more to go. It is so much easier to do this year, since 2 of our programs have been dropped. They were a pain in he neck anyway. So our application process has gone from 30/40 min. back to 10/15 min.

Nancy, I hope Rick gets better and home quickly.

I am going to take a few minutes and sit outside. It is so nice out, I want to take advantage.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

I had a busy few days. Mondays are always busy.

I know this is nothing new but I have been so stuffy. I feel like I my head is heavy all of the time. This sounds overly dramatic but I forgot what it feel like to have a clear nose and unclogged ears. But I try to act and go on like I feel fine. I think if I am going to feel like this all of the time I can let it effect my life. So I try not to let it get me down.

I do have an appointment with an ENT doctor. Why not an Allergy doctor. Well I have had allergy tests done and I am currently taking 4 allergy medicines. Outside of getting allergy shots...which don't always work. I have exhausted that avenue. I want to try something different. I want to see if an ENT can help me with my ears and sinuses. We shall see. Because I have been miserable. It's like having a cold all of the time.

Well other than that I have been going to the classes at church to become a member. So on top of normal services and class my Sundays are pretty booked. And last weekend Greg went to the race track and drove in a race car. It was a gift I gave him last Christmas. He loved it.

This weekend will be booked too. Amanda's birthday is this week. I am making and sending her a chocolate cake...her request. She is going to be enrolling in school. Yep...she is going for her Masters in Public and non-profit Administration. Of course she is worried about getting accepted. I think she has nothing to be worried about.

Nancy- I am sorry to hear that Rick is in the hospital. Your story reminds me of my grandma. The same thing happened to my grandma and it turned out to be a stroke. But she had diabetes and the stroke was due to high blood sugar. She was able to come home after about week and she did fine afterwards. She was just weak on the one side.

What are you all up to today....

Time to get going...have a good day all

Hi Everyone!

Time is still flying by for me. We need prayers for Rick. On Friday night he started slurring his words. He was still doing it on Saturday and I took him to the ER. They did not think it was very bad and he did sound a little better when we were in there but they kept him overnight for some tests. He has gotten worse. They think it is a mini stroke but tests are inconclusive. His symptoms are increasing. They kept him today so he could see a heart doctor. i am not sure he will come home tomorrow yet. Now his right side is being affected. So they are thinking there may be a blood clot between the heart and brain but his head would not fit in the MRI machine today. He would have a big head! Not sure what they will do for imagining now. Guess we will wait and see.

I am frustrated because I was supposed to have an 1 1/2 hour meeting to set up my new computer today starting at 9 am. They were delayed and we did not get started until 9:30. Got finished, and had problems with my headset. After we finally got that working about 2pm. I got done and turned off the computer to restart it and I could not log in to my computer. It blocked my password. The y had to totally erase my hard drive, and are now reinstalling everything. It is now almost 10 pm and they are still not done. So 13 hours later I still do not have my computer up and running. Needless to say, I have not been able to go and see Rick today which makes me sad.

I did not get to see him yesterday either as since I had to spend all afternoon Saturday in the ER with him, I had to get supplies to set my office up. We finally go my desk set up Friday night and I had to have everything ready to go for the computer set up today. I have training all day Friday. I am supposed to start work next Monday. Since today took all day and Friday was unexpected, I am not getting my full 3 weeks vacation in. I have put in a request to delay the start date to a week from Monday. With Rick being sick, I want to wait another week if at all possible. I dont know what we are dealing with for him but I know he is going to need therapy.

Meanwhile, the cats are wandering around in circles as the house is a disaster area with the living room all messed up as I try to get the office area set up and Rick not here. On top of that, I fell today and took forever getting back up. I wasnt sure I was going to be able to get up. I had fur babies all around me, checking on me to see if I was ok but of course they were no help.

Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I will keep everyone posted.

Good Morning,

I don't know where the weekend went, but I was busy with this and that.

Today starts my first full week of work for this year. People are already pushing to get in first, to make sure they get theirs. Oh well.

I was sick most of yesterday, not sure if it was a dump or a 12 hour bug. It wasn't fun,

How is everything in your world?

Huggers,

Lisa

Hello everyone

I am just feeling so miserable today.  The funny thing is yesterday I felt great.  Today I am soooo stuffy.  It's my head kind of stuffy.  Where your face feels like a 1,000 lbs.  And my head hurts from the pressure and my ears are aching.  This appointment with the ENT can't come soon enough.  The funny thing is I had this thought that right before the appointment I would have one of my rare "clear" days and the doctor would be wondering why I'm there...LOL.  Seriously though....I just want to lay my head down on my desk today.

I was planning on a making a big dinner but I think I will ask Greg to make something so I can just relax when I get home.

Greg by the way is great.  He is a whiz at computers.  That is what he does.  He also builds databases and writes code.  So I was having an issue with one of my spreadsheets at work.  I do daily spreadsheet at work that shows all the money that came in for the day on one tab and it feeds into another tab totals for the week and the next tab totals for the year.  Well this "automatic" part of automatically totaling for the week and year stopped working for me and I had no idea how to fix it.  So I started to just total it myself and plug the amounts in.  Well of course my old mean boss noticed that there were no formulas in the cells and she called me out on it and let my boss know.  Long story short I showed Greg and not only did he fix it for me but he automated it for me.  He has now asked me for my other spreadsheets and he is going to automate and streamline all of them...saving me a ton of time.  It's great being married to a computer geek...LOL

Well time to get back to work...see ya all later.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Things in my corner are OK.  Olivia was diagnosed with Mono and was pretty sick.  It was hard for me to be so far from her when she is sick.  She said yesterday that she felt a bit better.  The chills have gone and she just is itchy (from the rash) and tired with a bit of a sore throat.  Thanks to everyone who sent good wishes and cards.  She is just beginning to get "showered" with cards and it is making her smile.  Knowing she is smiling helps me to feel better about her being so far away.

I have had strange symptoms myself for the last few weeks.  I have had every symptom of cold/flu, but separately.  It's really odd.  I had a few days of bad headache, then body aches for a few days, fatigue, scratchy throat, cough, runny nose......each as the only symptom for a few days at a time.  Now, I just cough occasionally and blow my nose once in a while.  Still pretty tired, but my activity level is higher.

I am actually looking forward to chilling at home tonight.  I ran up to Madison after work Monday, into Rockford for a meeting last night, am volunteering at the Playhouse Friday night and most of the day Saturday, I will be working in Monroe at the, "Muggles Day Out" on the square.  Sunday, I have my first rehearsal for this year's Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast where I will be the narrator.

That's all my (not really) exciting news.

Have a great day!

Tell someone that you love them!
