Good afternoon!

It is a beautiful day, and it's hard to concentrate on work when I want to jus****ch the boats on the river.  I had pre-op class #1 yesterday.  It was ok.  I didn't really learn anything new, just review on how to read labels.  She did talk more about the process to get to surgery and the next steps we need to take.  I meet with the psychologist next week.  Pre-op class # 2 is scheduled for June, and class #3 for July.  I am hoping for a September surgery date, but I guess a lot of that will depend on how long it takes to get insurance approval.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Lisa

Good morning,

You got that right. Good to hear. I hope you have a great day today. The chicken wings sounds good. Today I'll try my best to finish my Stephen King book " Full Dark, No Stars", about 20 pages away of finishing the book. For the rest of the day I'll play it by ear.

Glad to hear that you're starting to feel like yourself again. All will be good for you. Good way to be positive.

Good luck with the chiropractor, hope it works out for you, I'll be praying for you that your leg get stronger. All will be well for you. Sorry to hear that you fell last Sunday, I hope you feel better soon. Good luck for tomorrow.

Have fun with your plants.

This Saturday (05/10/2014) is my last day of class (Digital Photography). I'm really enjoying the class I'm learning a lot in the class.

Today and tomorrow I'll be playing it by ear because of my right knee and right hip.

Have a great day everyone,

Jason.

Hello everyone

I had a busy day after work running errands.  I went to Walgreens, Target and JC Penney.  I had some really good coupons I wanted to use.  I have a ton of JC Penney coupons to use.

Well today I am just heading to Jewel after work.  I have to pick up some fruit.  They have a small organic section I always shop from.

Later this month a big group of my friends and I are going to see a Sox game.  I never went to see a game before so this will be a new experience.  I will have to go and buy a Sox shirt.  Just going and having fun and trying new things.  It's surprising how out of touch I got with my friends.  But I guess that happens when you have a boyfriend that has 3 kids and you let them swallow up all your time...that's is my fault.  I was way too available.  I need to make sure that doesn't happen again!!!

And who knows....other plans might pop up here and there.

Well I have to get back to work...have a great day all..BYE

Hello dear friend Sharon,

You got that right, I'm very happy that I had WLS when I did. Sorry that you had to suffered with knee pain for over a year. I hope all went well for you when you had the bone injections and chiropractor done. Never heard of "graston". Wow! Really? Sounds like it's painful, glad it worked for you.

I have a hunch about that, I'm just in my 30's, my joints are bad from all that weight that I carried for so many years. Sounds like it's the norm.. Thank you so very much Sharon, it means a lot to me.

Hugs,

Jason.

Hi Peeps,

What a magnificent day! I am so happy because today is the first day since I resigned that I do not have to go anywhere. I plan to stay in and just clean and cook. Chicken wings on the grill. Yummo.

Yes, I am beginning to feel like myself again. I still feel pangs of guilt about leaving the old job without notice, but I tell myself it is what it is, and try to stay positive. Reading my bible again and praying in the morning while I enjoy my coffee has been a way to begin each day on a positive note.

I went to the chiropractor yesterday and he worked on my legs for an hour. I am going to see him twice a week for about 6 weeks to get my legs stronger. I have never had leg adjustments before. He said when we fall it is a big deal and should not be taken lightly. I fell last Sunday after church and landed on my knees. I felt my ankle give out as I rolled into a small hole in the pavement. Thankfully I only was sore. I guess my stiff back will wait until tomorrow when I go back again.

I bought tomato plants and herbs yesterday at Whole Foods. They are organic and only 10 bucks for 3 plants. I spent $60.00 so I have some plantin' to do.

Blessings my dear ones!

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello Dear One,

Joint pain isn't easy to deal with. I suffered so badly with knee pain for over a year. I did the bone injections out of desperation and finally decided to try a chiropractor beore going the surgery route. I started doing this thing called, "graston". It is a procedure that goes back to the days of the Romans. Basically it is manually stripping the muscles and then rebuiding them with exercise. It was very painful but it worked.

I know so many now that are in their 50's who have knee and hip replacements. It is becoming the norm for so many. I will be praying for you.

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello folks,

Today was knitting and lots of errands. I haven't had lots of errands for years and I'm having to get used to being busy. I did have some success on my computer with a few things I couldn't do, so that was a victory. The farmers' market was open and so I got a few things there and then had to get milk and eggs at the store. Tonight we went to Social where they were taping for a Chicago WTTW show called "Check, please". It will be on June 20th. I doubt that we will be shown but it was fun to be there with all the excitement!

Tomorrow we have dinner with some friends we haven't seen for a while. Looking forward to that!

I'm sure you all are enjoying the weather!

Connie

There has been a lot going on for me for the last couple of weeks or so now in my life. One thing is that I was in the hospital last week Monday (04/28/2014) with really bad knee pain. I found out that my right knee have "acute knee pain" and "knee pain, uncertain cause". A few days later I had an appointment with my joint replacement doctor and we talked about my joints and what joint will be next. The original plan was to do my left hip, right hip, right knee. Now it's going to be my right hip, right knee, left hip. My doctor wants to do my right hip next then about 6 weeks later my right knee will be done, so my right hip will be done on 07/08/2014 the my right knee will be about 6 weeks later from that. Also from my appointment from my doctor last week he ordered some x-rays on my hips to compare to my hip x-rays from last year and I found out that my right hop has gotten worse which means that my right hip has severe arthritis. I can't wait to get my right hip and right knee done and replaced. That is if everything goes as plan and if my joint replacement for my right hip and knee doesn't get moved to a different date. Not sure when my left hip will be done, only time will tell.
