Connie- I agree with those Fitbit. You can lose them easily. My Fitbit is the one you wear around your wrist and I have yet to lose it or have it come loose. It's very secure. I love it. The ones you clip on are just not secure enough. Just a suggestion if you ever want to try a Fitbit again
Good morning friends,
We are off to the shop to do some arranging and later we will meet with our web designer and get the logo finished. We also have knitting today. I'm working on a hat made from cashmere, silk and possum fiber from New Zealand. It's so warm and soft. I'll post a pic on FB when I'm done.
I found an app called Argus which is similar to fit bit since I've now lost two of them. This is on the iPhone which is always in my pocket. Saves the cost of another fitbit!
Have a great day!

Hello everyone
I am relaxing after a stressful week. But not for long I will be running some errands. I want to get more house plants. And I want get some Summer clothes. So that's the cards today. I think I will drive out to Aurora for this. There is more out there. I also have some cleaning and organizing to do. I also just want to pick up a bunch of flowers to brighten things up inside!!!
Me and some friends were talking about going to the Taste Of Glen Ellyn but they keep forecasting rain...so I don't want to go if there's rain. We were mainly going to listen to music...the entertainment. And I don't want to sit in the damp cold!!! No fun there. So I am hoping I can find someone to watch Godzilla with me. It looks like some action adventure fun to me!!! I used to watch that on TV when I was a kid...brings back fond memories of after school fun. Ahhhh...those were the days.
Today is an anniversary of sorts for me and Chris. I don't why it's taking me so long to get over this. I am getting impatient and irritated with myself. It's not like we were together forever...it was a year. My God...just get over this...I tell myself.
Dawn- what a great milestone for you. But then I always believed you could do it!!!
Sharon and Nancy and Christine....it's so nice to have you guys posting on the board again
Well time to relax again...see ya later. Have a good day
Good Morning,
I don't care what time I go to bed, I am always up by 6.
We went to Cracker Barrel last night for dinner. I had grilled catfish. I love it.
Today, I am making a fruit tray, and a pickle and olive tray to take to our daughter Annette's house for a Birthday party for Morgan. I wi**** were warmer, so we could sit out on her deck, but..........
Dawn, Have I told you lately how great you are doing? I really admire you for having the courage to help yourself out of a bad situation. When Liv graduates on Tues., pat yourself on your back for raising such a great child.
Connie, it is so nice to see the excitment in you.
Have a great day!!!
Hugs,
Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Congrats on meeting the deadline, Crystal. I find it hard to believe that your boss was not impressed. Her loss.
I am now home, alone and thinking of a blanket and a movie. It has been a busy couple of days.
Yesterday I had my Continuing Care group, went to the library then had an appointment with my therapist. Then home to get David and take him and the family out for dinner in honor of his birthday. A few friends and neighbors stopped by to wish him well. Then....riley came home with me and Amber took David out for his first legal night on the town. I guess he did ok. The best part is that he was/is safe and stayed at her house overnight. I think he is going to meet with Todd an his softball team to get a ride home later on tonight.
Today, I got up at 5:20 and could not get back to sleep. Soon enough, it was time to get Riley up and ready for school. I got that done, packed her a breakfast and Todd took her to school. I went to the 9am meeting, stayed after a while to talk and get info that I will need to chair tomorrow. Oh....yeah......while I was there, I got my 90 Day Coin! Lots of hugs and compliments too!
I stopped at Dollar Tree for a few things, then met Liv at her school to help with decoration for the Graduation ceremony (next Tuesday). Then, Liv and I had a late lunch and she left for work.
So......a movie and a blanket sounds good.
Everyone have a great day!
Good morning!
I woke up to the sound of big trucks and realized they are fixing the potholes. Yes! I don't even resent the noise!
I got a great first day reaction on the store's FB page. The site is Knit One Purl Two Rockford. I even got likes from people I don't know. Fun! Today I have some running around to do, get coffee (the most important chore), and then pick up some stuff. The store is now clean and painted so we can start moving in the furniture and the stuff we have collected. Later I'm meeting a friend to knit with.
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Friday to all.
I went to see my G.P. yesterday. All tests she ran came back great. No problem. Blood count was 14.5, perfect is 16, I will take any blood count over 12. My A1C was 5.4. She wants me t ocome in in 3 months again, to rerun the test. With those readings, I think I will wait on that.
Today I need to run some errands. Then i want to work on my scrapbook some more.
Crystal, you deserve pat on the back. You are a hard worker, and a great person to.
Sharon, it is to bad that that the group you were working for witheld your last check. I am sure you have some recourse that you can do. It is not fair for them to be able to do that.
It is exciting that Connie and Kay's place is coming together. I am so happy for them.
Dawn, It doesn't seem possible that David is 21.
Nancy, It is nice to have extra time off work, even if you don't get paid for it. I love my 3 day a week working, instead of 5. Even if the paycheck suffers, I love the extra days.
Heading out before it rains,
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I am so glad it's Friday...I am tired. I finished my boss's deadline. But does she seem at all grateful...of course not. In fact I even got yelled at...but what's new. I would have been upset if I was surprised but I was not. But I am amazed that I was able to meet her deadline so I am going to pat myself on the back for a job well done. I am sure she will throw another deadline at me next week. So I am ready this time.
I have no special plans after work. I have to run to Walmart, Target and JcPenney....and CHipotle. Then home to relax for the night. I'm tired. It's been non-stop go go go at work and I am tired.
Well time to go to work...have a wonderful day...see ya.
Good evening Nancy,
A day can be good that is if you had a been busy for the last few days or so. Sorry to hear that's it without pay.
I took it slow today because my right knee is acting up today. I can't wait to get it fixed.
Thank you. I had a great time with the photo class.
Have a great evening.

Hello Everyone!
I have the day off! They have finally started giving time off as we have slowed down. It is without pay but I will take it. It is much better than being chained to your desk waiting for a phone call bored to tears. I slept in and played with the cats this morning I am eating lunch and chilling so far this afternoon before I get my rear in gear.
The sun finally came out here! It is nice to see. Nothing exciting is going on here. Just the usual boring life.
Connie, I am excited about your store for you! What an exciting journey!
Lisa, it is hard to get back into the daily grind as it is so routine and not nearly as exciting as a vacation It is also hard to believe that Morgan is going to be 16! I think of her as about age 11.
Crystal, I am thinking about you as you get your book keeping work back. I do not envy those long hours. Ugh!
Dawn, so many things are happening in your life with your kids. Such exciting times for them. Enjoy the time with Liv. You will miss her when she heads for school.
Sharon, you sound so much better. I am so sorry that they withheld the last of your pay. I cannot believe that! After all the hours you put in and all that you did for that practice! I would be beyond mad!
Chris, you and Dave have been really busy! Sounds like you have had lots of fun.
Jason, glad you had fun in your photo class.
Carla, have a safe trip to Colorado and enjoy your baby fix!
Everyone have a great day!
