Hello everyone
What a gloomy day. But according to WGN it's supposed to clear up later this afternoon and get sunny. So we shall see. I hope it does because I would like to go grocery shopping. I would like to drive over to Plainfield and shop at Meijer. So I would like to cut out of work a little earlier than I have been (which means 10 hours of work instead of 12). Then I might pop over next door to Goodwill if I feel like it.
I was thinking about going further down RT 59 and going to the mall...but maybe I will save that for Saturday. So what are you all doing today.
Connie- We will have to make a date to come and visit your new place. When your ready. How exciting. Maybe you can show me how to knit...if it's fast and east that is.
Nancy...come visit us....we miss you.
Dawn- Good luck. I'm sure it will be a hit. I love that stuff
Well I better get back to work...see ya later.
It sounds like many of us are dealing with a lot lately................
Dawn I am sorry you had to deal with such calamity before your trip. You did awesome.
Crystal, I have to tell you, I am not surprised Chris contacted you. It was cowardly to email you after the way he treated you in the end, but perhaps it was the best way for you. In an e-mail you have more control of your emotions and response.
Connie, it sounds like you have a check list to get this store up and running and it sounds like it is going to be wonderful.
Lisa, enjoy these lazy days of being off. I know it is something you enjoy.
Nancy I hope you are doing well.
Carla, are you back from Denver yet?
I watched the babies til late last night. My daughter worked and my son in law is out of town working til Thursday. I also went to the doctor and have an eye infection and an outer ear infection.....feeling like a wet noodle who only wants to eat noodles aka as carbs.
Hugs,
Sharon
Good morning ILLINOIS!
I am SOOO excited! I have bitten the bullet and am going to try and sell my homemade bath products in public! I was dragging my feet, using excuses (perhaps fearing failure?) but I got the LAST SPOT of 25 vendors! I will be at the "Open Market" before the "Music on Chicago" series in downtown Freeport. It sounds like a good opportunity, but I was fearful. Now, I have 8-9 days to build up stock. Liv and Riley will help me. The actual making is not too time-consuming, but the decorating of the packaging can be. This event draws 100's of people to the downtown area and I THINK I am the only one with this type of product. It is cool because ONLY homemade work can be sold by the artists themselves. I am PUMPED! Wish me luck, I need the income.
Today though, Liv and I are running to IKEA to return some cushions that won't work and to try "Sweet Tomatoes". Then home to get David and to the cell phone store to get a plan for the family. Todd and I have been on his step-father's plan for years and each child has a different pre-paid provider. I do not want to owe ANYTHING to that man, so it is time.
I hear the rain will stop soon, so everyone have a splendid day!
HI Dennis,
I have had a gain and it has been unsettling. I find if I do not work out and stick to a low/no carb diet I gain. It is hard on my psyche to keep up the diet constantly and it is even harder to gain when I am not vigilant.
I have even considered another surgery but know it will ultimately end up the same for me. I know a couple people who have gained all their weight back after a procedure and it makes me stop from even considering another procedure. I do have a good friend who had the band and lost 100 lbs and now is going to have the gastric bypass. She has gained about 10 lbs back but she feels confident she has gone as far as she can with the band. She has another 100 lbs to go to reach her goal.
I am interested in hearing more from you.
Sharon
Hi friends,
I haven't been posting a lot either because I do the same thing each day--go to the store and wait for this delivery or that workman to show up! ComEd lost our application and turned off the electricity Friday. They told me it would take two weeks to turn on. Well I called another person Monday and she was very nice and got it turned on today! The owner came by and put an accoustical ceiling in the classroom which will be great and he fixed some lights which needed changing. Then a yarn rep came and we bought more. I think we've got what we need to start. Now to get it all checked in and price tagged.
This weekend we are going to Minneapolis with Madison Knitters Guild on a yarn safari. 5 stores and overnight. There are ten of us friends going on a bus of 60. What a riot! We'll get lots of ideas and not buy yarn ( hopefully, but perhaps).
Thats about all I know. I'm really tired tonight but enjoying Andrea Bocelli on WTTW.
Dawn, so proud of you!
Connie
