Good Morning Crystal,
We have a family of Robins in our front yard tree. I seen the nest first the first time on Friday, and yesterday, I watched the new parents take turns going for food. The nest is just high enough, so I can't see into it.
I just called unemployment for the first time this summer. We will see how much I will lose because I get Social Security.Illinois is the last state to dock you for getting benefits. The ARRP organization is fighting the state about it. We shall see. It would be nice if the state would have to pay back all the monies that they denied people like me. But, I don't think that will happen. BTW, I am suppose to get 132 a week, but I normally get only 55 a week, before taxes.
A couple of errands to do today. And a few things to do here in the house. Not sure what is for dinner tonight. I will check the freezer in a bit. Royal Pains are on TV tonight. As well as NICS.
Crystal, I am wishing you luck on Saturday. I could never do it.
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I am feeling quite bored and blah. I think I am getting to a point that I am trying to do too much or go out so much that when I have any kind of down time I am bored. I get fidgety. Even now waiting to go to work. What the heck.
If my date doesn't back out I will be skydiving Saturday. I can't believe it. It sounds like so much fun. And something I have always wanted to do. So far we haven't had a normal date...LOL!!!
Today after work I am going out to eat with a friend. She needs a shoulder to lean on. She just split up with her boy friend. I think I can relate. Hahaha!!! What's worse, he's practically her neighbor. So they will be running into each other all of the time. I would hate that...ugh!!! I am so lucky. I never have to worry about that.
Dawn- you start off slow but you will pick up business. People will return and get more.
Connie- I saw the picture of your store getting stocked. Getting closer and closer!!!
Well better get going. Have a nice day all. Bye
Hello everyone
I had a fun weekend. That 5K was fun and very tiring. I guess a 5K would be enough but the obstacles made it more challenging. I just don't have the upper body strength to pull myself up a wall...I needed help. In fact all the women in our group needed help...LOL!!!
Today I have nothing going on. I am just working. No excitement there. My boss is being decent. Probably because she needed my help to do something. Now she is out to lunch.
Sharon- I am going to your lady to get my hair highlighted Wednesday.
Thursday I have my doctors appointment. I think he will be happy. I haven't lost a whole lot of weight but I have lost rather than gained. Always a good thing.
Sounds like everyone is going into business. I know people have urged me to sell my cheesecakes but I like to do that for fun. I know I would not want to make dozens of cheesecakes...no fun there.
Dawn- I am sure things will be come more and more real as the Summer comes to end and Liv gets ready to leave. But it's such a happy time....bittersweet.
Well I better get going. Have a great afternoon. Bye
Food morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
Where is Utica? hahaha! I will check into it.
Today, Liv and I are heading to Monroe to pick up meat for her party and some mulch. On the way, we have to stop to take some pictures with her University flag as she was chosen to represent Illinois for their, "50 States, 50 Flags" campaign.
Once we get home, she will continue to make cookies and I will work on getting the mulch spread and some house cleaning. I have a women's meeting at 6:30 (my first). We figure if we do some each day, we will not be overwhelmed at the end of the week.
Everyone stay cool!
Good morning,
Indeed.
Looks like yesterday went well for you and the same for today.
I got back home yesterday from the Rockford/Byron/Oregon, IL. area. I had a great time and got the chance to do things I wanted to do. I feel renewed and rested now.
I wish all goes well for You and Monica the best for October.
I better get going and do a few things before the heat gets here.
Have a great day.

Good Morning,
It looks like blue skies today, as well as high 80's or 90's. Has summer arrived?
It was a really low keyed Sunday here. I worked on my newest rug, and finished a few things. Today should be about the same. I may take a run over to the Walmart in Ottawa, to get some burlap.
Monica and I are setting up a booth in October, at the Burgoo Festival in Utica, so I want to get started on the display.
Dawn, you may want to look into it, They usually have 20,000 people or more come through in one day.
Crystal, It sounds like you had a nice weekend.
I need to get going, have some stuff to do this morning, before the heat starts.
Hugs,
Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I had fun at the market last night but there were more browsers than shoppers. I came home with $ 65.00. I had almost $ 600.00 of product. Oh well.....I now have a head start for next month. I am also going to try other ways of marketing including a Facebook page and consignment to a few shops. I would really love to make enough to be able to either not work at all or to only work part-time.
I finished booking our orientation trip and am excited. A woman in my IOP class reminded me that my last trip (with the boys) was not very pleasant and that I might enjoy myself better by myself. Good point. I may not be completely by myself all the time. I plan on finding a local meeting and will also spend some time with Marybeth, the mother of Liv's friend from New York that is also attending Coastal.
Speaking of Coastal.....they are doing a social media campaign "50 Flags in 50 States" and Liv was chosen as the representative from Illinois. They sent her a flag and she is to take pictures representing her state with the flag. She is going to take one of the "Welcome to Illinois" sign, one in a cornfield, one of the Lincoln-Douglas Debate Statue and one at Camp Winnebago. How fun!
I'd better get my button in gear!
Everyone have a super day!
Like I have been telling Liv......that's just what dating is for.....to spend time with someone, casually and see if you get along and enjoy that time. If so....maybe you will spend another span of time with that person. If not, no harm, no foul. Dating is exploring. Have fun with it!
Cold showers are great, if you like them. This bidy needs warmth. BTW, we need a new water heater. Hubert went and looked at it.
Hello everyone
I had a good day yesterday. My boss didn't come in again (she is sick). We got off work early because the president of our company is retiring and they were throwing his a party at a local sports bar. So at 1pm we all got to a party. And at 3pm I left the party did some quick errands and came home and got ready. Me and some friends went the New Orleans street fest yesterday. I had fun. I had one of those bingnet thingys...it was good. I had a hurricane...it was some kind of alcoholic drink....that was quite strong because I was a little tipsy after one. There were street performers and live music. We joked and had fun.
Amanda sent me earrings. She is such a sweetheart. I am wearing them right now!!!
Today I have a 5K run. It's actually part of a date. I have been kind of low key about this because I'm not looking to find the love of my life (well I am but...) I am just going on this date because the guy is nice and this sounded like fun. So I said what the heck. Afterwards we are going to wash up and go to brunch. It sounds like a weird but fun date.
All and all I had a good birthday and I have a feeling today will be a good day.
I am sure I will be tired tomorrow and sore. Oh well. I will have some catching up to do tomorrow.
Lisa I hope you get your ho****er back soon. But I did read cold showers are actually very good for you. Look it up.
See you all later. Bye
