Hi Crystal and Everyone,
I am going to a funeral/wake (again!) this morning and then I am free as a bird. I am hoping to just not do much today since I was so busy yesterday.
We took the grandbabies to a very cool restaurant yesterday called 2 Toots. It is a simple diner in Glen Ellyn that has a train track with trains running around the place bringing you the food you ordered. The kids love Thomas so it was a hit. They sell only grass fed beef and offer a healthy option like gluten free buns. The food was delish! Apparently they are popping up in other areas as well.
Crystal, you know I know so much about what to eat and not to eat but I cannot seem to lose the last 70 lbs. Perhaps you should think about making this shopping thing a part-time gig. You obviously know what to do to be successful and you clearly enjoy it as well.
Well, I am off. Congrats to Dawn who very proudly posted a scholarship Olivia received on FB. Cheers

Hello everyone
Getting ready. Today will be a good day. Work is treating up to a horse show. So no work today!!!! But they still pay us!!! They do this every year. The controller owns a couple of horses and likes to share her love of horses with us. So they rent out the gazebo and cater lunch (which thankfully if usually healthy) and we si****ch and it's a really nice day. I'm just hoping my allergies behave!!!
Then later I'm meeting someone and we are shopping for groceries. She is trying to eat healthier and she asked me to help her make good choices at the grocery store. I can understand her feeling overwhelmed. I remember feeling the same way before I got into my groove and found things I liked. And understood what to eat and what to eat occasionally.
Which by the way I think I am going to get serious again about trying to lose this last bit of weight. I am only 20lbs from my goal. It would feel great to hit that goal. Then I would have a normal BMI...can you imagine!!!
So what are you all up to today???

I can't wait to get to Chicago on Saturday! I want to get my hair done! I'M SHABBY! My daughter swears she is going to do it!
We are going to leave bright and early! I'm going to drive at least until 9th then the rest Saturday!; probably staying 9 days cause I'm coming back July 6 for 6th weeks with my friend. Carka

I went got my done yesterday and I am very happy with the results. My hair is getting so much healthier. No more "hay hair". I now take very good care of my hair and use very good products.
Also when I got a facial I bought some dermlogica products and I have to say I really love it. I do see a difference in my skin. I don't need the whole skin care line just the cleanser and moisturizer.
I guess you can tell I pick and choose where I spend my money. Because I buy most of my clothes at secondhand stores. But I buy high end products for my hair and skincare. I don't eat out that much but I buy organic food. It's always a trade off. I save money to spend money...LOL!!!
Today I is my yearly physical. I am going to ask him about my changing around allergy meds. Maybe there is something better out there. I have found that I can't spend much time outdoors without being miserable. Even with medicine. I should be happy the only thing that plagues me now is migraines and allergies. I could have real health problems. So I am grateful. At one time I did have real issues.
So no late nights today. I am leaving at 4 today. I am actually excited about that. Sad but true.

Sharon, The boy that died in the accident was from LaSalle. The pit he drove into is the Silica Sand pit in Ottawa. From what I heard, he took someones keys, and her car without permission. No one seems to know what drove him to do it, but apparently he just broke up with his girlfriend.Not the owner of the car)

Sharon- you obviously didn't go on Facebook. I love it. She cut it the way I wanted it too. The color was perfect and I was so vague about what I wanted and she still got it right!!! Hahaha!!! She also got rid of all my grays. I think I'm hooked now. I don't think I will ever want to do my own hair again. LOL...it's all your fault!!!
Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
We have had storms off and on since Tuesday night. They say it should be done by tonight. I hope they are correct. We need to get our lawn mowed and the yard cleaned up. Earlier in the week, it said that Saturday would be perfect......now, they are saying a small chance of rain, but that small chance keeps growing. Oh well.......it is what it is. We will deal with it either way, but no rain would be better!
We are working on the party a little each day. Liv has made about 11 dozen cookies and will start on the "Puppy Chow" today. After cooking, I ended up with 10 lbs. of beef so I will get more today. I think we will be ready.....ready as can be, anyway. I will be sure to post pics.
Maybe when I am in Rockford, I will take a sneak-peek at Connie and Kay's new shop.

Hi Lisa,
We had 2 sets of storms. One at about 11:30 that blew through and brought cooler temps. Then at 8 p last night we had another set of storms blow thru that were electrical and brought more cool weather. I was able to turn the air off and sleep with the windows open.
Yesterday I went to my CR class in Bolingbrook and I enjoy it so much. It is a very small group only 4 of us, but it is awesome to be amongst these ladies.
Today I am going to Union, IL with the grandbabies and their mom and dad to a train museum. I have no idea where Union is but since I'm not driving I guess it wont matter. Tonight G and I have a wake to go to. A young woman died of a brain tumor from cancer. It will be sad.
I am envious of the crafters, knitters, soap makers, etc. What a crafty bunch of gals. The only craft I know is.............none! hahahahahahahahahahaha
Crystal, how did the hair turn out? I am dyeing mine as we chat.
Lisa, do you live near the spot where that car went into a ravine? It was on the news the other day. I think it was in Lasalle.
Well, I am off to wash the dye out of my hair and start my day.

Good Morning,
We are going to a play tonight.Noises Off, it is suppose to be a play, about actors that are training for another play. We will see.No real plans for today, I may go shopping for the weeks food. If not today, I will go tomorrow.
Monica and I are putting a stand together for the Burgoo Festival in October in Utica, I was able to get some of the material I needed at Walmart last night. So, I will be starting on my crafts shortly.
We never had any storms yesterday, what about you?
