Topic: I Got A Call From My Joint Replacement Doctor's Office.

Today (07/09/2014) in the afternoon I got a call from my joint replacement doctor's office (a nurse called) to let me know that the office ordered up some more blood work for me for my upcoming right hip replacement surgery that I have on 07/16/2014. My surgeon and a nurse on his team wanted to check up on my nutritional values from the blood work to make sure that my nutritional values are okay since I had the VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy) surgery a little over 4 years ago. I'll see how my time goes for tomorrow since I have my joint replacement class at the hospital that I'm going to have my right hip done, I'll go in before or after my class, if I leave early enough then I'll go in for the blood work before my class, if I leave late then I'll go in for the blood work after my class. I hope the blood work comes out okay.

Hello All,

Busy day today........i did my weekly garage dump. Since it's garbage day I always try to make sure I get some junk out of the garage and into the truck. I am determined to get my car in the garage before winter. Today I uncovered a Watertown Slider that I had covered up and stuck there a couple years ago. I cleaned it and put it in my livingroom.

Yesterday I finally finished my living room. It is junk free and looks airy and lovely.

I babysat the grandkids last night and fell asleep after I put the kids down. It was still light out. I'll be glad when I am my old self again. i tire easily.

Tonight I have a CR meeting in Bolingbrook.

Crystal, you just have to date knowing it is an essential "duty" to endure to find the right one. In the mean time, listen to your gut, ALWAYS. It will never let you down. If you even vaguely feel like a guy is vetting you to get you in bed, then shut the candyshop door permanently. That is the line in the sand a man cannot hide his integrity from.

As a 56 y/o, i know I would not sleep with anyone again unless I was 100% committed. and so was he. I know it sounds harsh and old fashioned but that would separate the boys from the men. At the same time, I would never judge anyone who slept around. I was young once and my hormones made me do things I wish I hadn't. Thank goodness we have a forgiving God.

Steroides mess with everything. You should be back to normal in the next 6 months or so. Maybe less.

Dawn have fun with Liv.

Jason, Lisa, Nancy.......special hugs.

Peace,

Sharon

Good morning everyone,

Good luck at work today

Busy day for you for today. Today my aunt's dog and cat will be going home tonight, my aunt's dog misses her owner the last day or two, everyone time I go out with my aunt's dog she goes to the back gate at looks for my aunt, I know she'll be happy to see her tonight. Today I'll go up to Subway to get a sub for lunch/dinner also I have some laundry to do for today. The rest of the day I'll play it by ear.

They do have classes at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, I went to on last year for my left knee replacement. I'm going to the class for my right hip replacement. They talk about what to expect before, during, and after surgery in what to do while healing for knee replacement or hip replacement. I want to give myself the head's up and give myself a peace of mind. I cant wait to get both hips replaced and my right knee replaced. My right replacement is in 7 day (next Wednesday the 16th). As far as the class goes I'll try to tell more what the class has to say. The class is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. Looking forward to the class.

Have a great day everyone.

Hello everyone

I have to dress up for work today because the big boss from our parent company is coming for a visit.  Not sure why we have to dress up since he is in our office a total of 2 minutes before he disappears into the president's office and he's gone the rest of the day.  And I hate dressing up.

I did go on one date with a guy he seems really nice and he has called me every day since.  we seem to have a lot in common.  And Nancy he has a 18 year old cat!!!  He is an IT manager and lives in Romeoville.  He seems very gung-ho about everything.  He is making plans to do things with me a week to wekks in advance.  The optimistic part of me is saying...wow he must like me.  The pessimistic part of me is saying...what is he trying here???  I know I shouldn't think these things.  I guess I have burned enough I have my alert up for any trouble.  I also don't want a guy to think he can wine and dine for a week or two just to sleep with me and leave me.  I guess you have to be very careful nowadays.  Gesh....  But my gut is saying he's a good guy.

Today after work I have a ton of running around to do.  Since I can't Thursday or Friday.  So it's Walgreens, Groceries, Target, and this produce place I go to.

Oh again I am having this weird issue with not getting my period.  At least now I am not worried about anything...I know I'm not pregnant.  But I don't think I am really stressed or anything.  I have been taking steroiods for my ears.  Could that be causing it???  weird that that this keeps happening.  I am only 43 so I think I am too young for the change right (or any weird problems associated with it)???  I am still taking birth control I decided I liked the way it regulated me so I never stopped it...

Dawn-  have a safe trip...and have FUN!!!

Nancy- It's always nice to hear from you

Lisa- did they finish the enclosure yet?

Jason-  I didn't know they had classes about joint replacement.  What do they tell you

Well I better finish getting ready...have a great day all.

Good evening Nancy,

Good to hear that you're still alive.

I hope that the paperwork went well for you. I bet it feels good to be done with the paperwork. Sorry to hear about the flagpole Wow! Five time the price?! It's good to get the sleep in, sorry to hear about your cold, I hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations on your appointment.

I'm thinking about my upcoming surgery, I want to be over and done with. I can't wait for my class at the hospital about the joint replacement so I can have that peace of mind. Thank you, I need the good luck.

Have a great night everyone.
