Nothing happening here either. Just going to run some errands and then come home and finish some small projects. It is a cool day, good day to stay in or not.
Hugs,
Fast fly by - at work since 6:30 and have a hair appt at 4PM today. That is about it for me - not too exciting.

I called BCBS and got approval on 8/7, so I called the Kane center and the receptionist said I will get a call from the "scheduler" in about a week, because they schedule in the order the cases are processed?.. So I called back on Friday and explained I'm starting a new job and need to schedule ASAP, the other receptionist said she will send a message to the "scheduler". I got a call back from the first receptionist saying "didn't I mention that the scheduler will call?", I said yes, but I have a time crunch... She said they don't even have the approval yet anyway, and she needs to "pre-certify" me??? I don't get it I was already approved according to BCBS. Then she said that SHE called BCBS last 8/6 and BCBS told them they had received yet, so she refaxed it on 8/6? I told her that was weird cause I called BCBS on 7/30 and they had it. So this receptionist is gatekeeping me. UGH.. so I'll have to wait cause the bariatric calls go through her first. Oh well! Should hear by wed! Wallace is my surgeon, but I haven't heard about a secondary doc.
I would not wait to hear from the Kane Center; keep on them and call being super sweet every few days. Rantis was my DH's WLS doc with Wallace being the seconday doc during surgery.

Crystal, I spent many happy days at Devil's Lake. My family would go to the south side, swim, play and hike on the bluff. We did not camp there as we would camp at the Juneau side county park of Castle Rock Lake. A year ago June we went to both the north and south locations of the state park to 'splore and 'member (for me). I would have liked to hike the trail along the bluff but Dave has issues with elevation and other than concrete surfaces so we opted out of it. I love the fact that the lake water is still crystal clear like it was close to 50 years ago.

Nothing much here... Waiting for the surgeon to call... Ho hum..... ;(
Anyways we are dog sitting for my son's best friend's dogs. They have a TINY house, without a yard. They have a beagle (which they keep caged when gone) So I feel bad and the other is a great Dane/lab mix... huge. Anyways we have been watching since Friday... we feel bad going over there and spending 45 mins to play and then leave. (3 times a day). So today we took the beagle to our apt (which is bigger than their house). They said we could do pretty much anything with them. The beagle is loving it not being caged... our cats hate him.. LOL they are sitting up on their climber just staring down..LOL Oh well, they will pay us back...LOL
Anyways nothing much!
Crystal, you will learn stuff every time you go out. Rubbermaid containers are the way to go. For non perishables, the containers and put everything in ziplock bags. Another good thing to do is to pour ammonia around the campsite, it will keep some critters away. When we were younger, we did it it all. Tent and camper camping. I like the kind we do now best...... Holiday Inn and eating out.
Hello everyone
I got home late yesterday. I am all settled back home. My first actual camping trip in a tent was fun. And I climbing up over 1/2 mile on Saturday and then hiking back down was exhausting...but in a good way. We got back to the campsite that day and had burgers and those were the best burgers!!!! Because all we had all day were power bars and warm water....I was starving. Fruit and burgers and cold cold ice tea hit the spot!!!
Every morning we woke up to the crows fighting with the squirrels in the trees above us and we had to laugh. It was so loud but I thought it was funny. I soooo wanted to look out and see it but I knew the minute I made a move to open the tent they would all scatter. Not knowing were there is what made them all come out.
The only thing I could do with out is the gross showers. I did have a bath mat to stand on but still. I couldn't wait to come home and take a shower. There are things I would do differently next time. Like I would pack my clothes in the a Rubbermaid container...not a duffle bag. It just makes for a sturdier container...and then with the lid on it doubles as a vanity. I would also pack the non- perishable food in one too...rather than canvas bags. Just things like that. Also I need a shower caddy.
Anyway, today I am relaxing after work. That is it for me.
See you all later.
Good Morning Christine,
I woke up tp the hear the new roof, over the new basement entrance leaking. Not omly in one spot. but 2. I put buckets under them.. and will now wait until they dry so Hubert can go up and see where.
Otherwise, just wanting to do some odds and ends today. I may drive out to Walmart. I need to get a scrapbook to start our vacation one. The photo lab at Walgreens is down, at least until tomorrow, so we can't get the pics done yet.
In am glad you enjoyed the concert yesterday.
I di put some pics on FB yesterday.
Hugs,
Tired, tired, tired. Even though we did not walk as much as we do at Cantigny yesterday as we made sure that we were not too tired to enjoy the concert at 3PM we still are tired. I think it was the little bit of humidity that we had yesterday.
We are getting much needed rain and at least it is coming on Monday and not the week-end.
What is happening in your neck of the woods?

I probably should clarify - the concert was not really that good. The bio said they were a classic rock band. They only played about 3 songs that I even knew during the 1 1/2 hrs. They also played a blues number. We could not figure out how blues music had anything to do with rock. There were a lot of people that got up and left after about 1/2 hr into the concert.
