I had harassment training at work then a fast day at work, meeting at another PD and then we went Cantigny for a members reception. I am home and tired and am going to work on my Smile Box creation for our photos from Alaska.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! I found out today (08/21/2014) this afternoon that I'll be going home tomorrow (08/22/2014) from rehab! I can't wait to get back home. I'm so happy right now. One of my aunts is going to pick me up around 1:30 p.m. and take me home, I hope she has time to take me ti Walgreens or to CVS/Pharmacy to but a shower chair and a hip kit. Also I need to stop a store to pick-up a few food items and a few other items too. Tomorrow will seem it'll take to long to get here, I wish tomorrow will get here already. Home sweet home, here I come.

Hello neighbors....
Well I'm at day 7 of my ALL liquid diet.... I'm half done... 7 days more to to go!!!! I admit yesterday I had a slip up. :( I had 1/2 a cup of low fat cottage cheese.....I know my bad, however I figure it wasn't a cheeseburger?? right...LOL I just needed something to chew.. I was all messed up yesterday. I had to fast for 12 hrs I had all my surgical testing I was nauseated from the upper GI and drinking TWO things of barium.. not just one, plus I had to swallow this "pop rock" crystals, which add so much gas to my tummy.... it was 2pm before I could have ANYTHING... so I grabbed the cottage cheese and had a little bit. The rest of the day I was on track!!!
The rain did wake me... slept like a baby..LOL Working around house today to get projects out of the way so when I come home after surgery I don't have to worry about it!!
Hugs
Jess
Good Morning,
We need the rain, so it's a good thing. It woke me up about 5:30 this morning, and continued until about 7. Now it is just gray, and anyone in the chicago area should be getting it shortly.
I am hoping to finish painting the porch swing today. I went to paint the back of it yesterday, to discover another wasp nest on the back. I was not a happy camper! This is the 2nd or 3rd one this summer. Why they want to build thier nest on a moving swing, for the 2nd year in a row is beyond me.
I have a few things to do today, then I will work on my scrap books and rug. I am motivated to finish both before I go back to work next week.
One of my co-workers called last night to tell me that her son (19) and hubby were in a bad car accident on Monday. Hubby escaped with a broken rib and some bruises, anf her son is in the hospital with a broken arm, crushed leg, and head trauma. A car came out of a side road and t-balled them.
Last year at about this same time, another co-workers huybby almost died from a fall. He is now on total disability. Hopefully, this is not going to happen next year.
Crystal, give Amanda and Charles a hug for me. They soon will be off on another adventure, when they start their life in Washington state.
Hugs,
Good Evening Christine and the rest of Illinois!
I am home. Liv is not. Very, very strange. Not in a bad way though. I am actually much less sad than I thought I would be. With the technology, we can stay in touch pretty easily. It is just very quiet around here. It will be even quieter this weekend when I am home alone. Todd is going to a beer festival and I have opted out.
The trip went well, mostly. Todd got a bit cranky and negative at times, but I tried to steer him in a more positive direction.
On Friday morning, I got lots of texts of congratulations on my six month sober mark. At first, he was kind of pissy that I was on the phone so much. (Riley called me also.) When I told him why the phone was going off so much, he actually congratulated me and said that I was doing well. So.....that was something. I think that he is trying, in his way. I guess I just have to remember to be assertive and let him know when he is out of line.
Crystal......by now, you have probably reunited with Amanda and Charles. I KNOW how good that must feel! Give her lots and lots of big hugs. How long will they be in Washington and where are they going after?
On my first day without kids, I had a couple appointments, a bit of grocery shopping then came home and cleaned the fridge from stem to stern. Before we left, there was something smelly in there and I thought I got it. Last night, when we got home, there was still an odor. When I cleaned it out, I did not find anything. Strange......I mentioned it to Todd and he said that HE had thrown out a bag of corn that was rank earlier today. Oh well......now I have a clean fridge and no one to really mess it up!
Tomorrow, I have a bit more housework, a few errands in Freeport then home to make beer can chicken and fresh corn. I also have some step work for my meeting with my sponsor on Friday.
Life is good!
Hello everyone
Well all the excitement of Amanda coming is finally getting the best of me. My band is acting up. Like always when I experience any kind of extreme emotion good or bad my band tightens up on me and I have problems. So last night I had a bad night. My food was backing up on me. I had to sleep in an elevated position. When Amanda left for Peru it got so bad I threw up. Hopefully that doesn't happen. I am taking it easy, food wise today and sticking to soft foods. So its cottage cheese for lunch and mashed potatoes for dinner...or something like that. Nothing too dense.
Of course this all new to Greg and he was all worried and thought I needed to see a doctor. I said...no no. This is par for the course. Now if I am still having problems a week from now I will go.
Amanda is coming tonight/early this morning...and she is flying into Bloomington. Not O'Hare. My first time there.
This day can't go by fast enough.
Well I got to get back to work. Have a good day
Good Morning,
We had a nice rain yesterday, but it didn't last long enough. The main thing it did was raise the humidity. I am still hoping to paint the porch swing, but the humidity is stopping me.
Otherwise, just working on some stuff here in the house.
All the schools here in Streator are back in session. The neighborhood is quiet during the day.
Dawn, glad you are home.
Crystal, do you know what day yet?
Hugs,
Still sleepy!
I am off to see the Wizard of Work soon.I am not sure what I am doing later on today after work but I need to get my backside in gear as next Wednesday we leave for the Dells for a few days. My late sister's kids are having a family memorial service at Castle Rock. My one niece has a summer home right on the lake. It is a huge lake (flowage) that is man made. It connects to Petenwell Lake. The two lakes are part of the hydoroelectric system on the WI River. I have a long history up there back to a great uncle who was part of the work crew that dug the two lakes and built the damns. My folks retired up there (Adams Co side) and my sister had a summer place on the Juneau Co side of the lake. We will be on the Adams Co side of the lake. Weather is always iffy on this week-end so I need to take two types of clothing plus rain gear. We are not staying until Labor Day and will come back on Sunday. I hate holiday traffic and it is dangerous.
What is happening in your world?
