I am getting ready to go into Freeport. On the way home, I need to pick up softener salt. I will come home, unload and get ready to meet Todd in Rockford. Our friend, Bruce, is dying of ALS and there is a big Ice Bucket fundraiser at his assisted living community. Lowe's has donated 25 buckets and the local news is supposed to cover the event. All this is good, but it makes me sad that it is too late for my friend.
Saturday is Todd's big day with his softball team that includes golf, fantasy football, cooking out, horseback riding and a BIG party. I will be attending a picnic for much of the day. I will probably go out to his thing for dinner but not sure that I am going to stay for the drunken festivities. I will have my own car so that I will be able to leave when I am ready.
Sunday, we were invited to Todd's mother's. Of course, I would not be attending, but it bothers me that he lied to her and said that WE had a picnic to attend. Oh well......not my stuff. I just wish he would not lie using me as an excuse.
Monday is the Annual Labor Day Tractor Pulls in my driveway. Olivia is sad that she won't be here, so we are going to Skype for a bit so she does not feel so left out. I should make her Skype with me when she goes to the beach as I am missing out........

Which campground? I live about 30-40 minutes from Oregon. We have plans for this weekend, but mygranddaughter loves camping and we haven't went yet this year.

Hello Everyone
I know exactly what you mean by month end...and on top of that I took two days off last week. Ugh...it's like craziness here in my world. I have been coming early and working extra late here every day. I think I will get some good overtime this week though.
I also have been enjoying some bike riding this week after work when the rain is cleared up. I really work up a sweat. Its good exercise. I had to get extra padding for my seat...my butt was sore.
Today after work I will be bike riding again and that's all I will have time for. That and I am making chicken parmesan meatballs...they are super yummy.
I can't wait for the weekend...let's hear it for the 3 day weekend'''woohoo!!!

Had an appt with the surgeon yesterday... all is set to go!! HOLY cow is this real!! I did the 2 weeks of all liquid diet, lost 20 lbs Go me!! .. I did have a slip up and ate some crackers, but I look at it .. hell at least it wasn't McDonald's....LOL So I just started my day of clear liquids and my magnesium citrate.. oh joys

Home again, home again, jigidy jig. Oh to be in the north woods again. We missed the Dells but loved Alaska when we were there. I left work at 10:30 yesterday and it took forever to get to the state line via Rt 14. It was not construction like there is on I-90 but lunch and shopping traffic. We planned on going to The Matt Kenseth museum in Cambridge and loved it. Loved it so much that we are going back on Sunday. There are cars, driving suits, other equipment, trophies, videos, die cast cars. I highly respect him and other Nascar drivers and their families. We found out while we were leaving that the lady working the museum and gift shop is his sister. It was neat. She could have been boastful and told us that at the beginning but she did not. I love humble people.

We are camping this weekend in Oregon, IL. I'll have my separate cooler with lots of yogurt and protein shakes. At least I'll be able to have the meat and veggies that are cooked.
I lost another pound today, but I am battling hunger pangs. Yesterday I had a low on my blood sugar while I was out, and I didn't have my meter with me...I just felt the symptoms. So I bought some peanuts and beef jerky and by the time I got home it had gone up to 122. After dinner (roast pork, carrots and green beans) I really started to feel light-headed and dizzy, so I wound up going to bed early. I have to make sure to carry my meter EVERYWHERE!
If anyone likes to camp and is still looking for something to do this weekend, it's $30 per family per night in a private campground. Lots of activities included such as swimming, canoeing, archery, crafts, and movies each night. You bring your own camping gear.

Does everyone have big plans for this last weekend of summer? Hubert is working the whole weekend, so we have no plans at all. We may go to the Car show and Cruise Nite here in town on Saturday night, but not sure.
Today, I am doing nothing. I go back to work on Thursday, but no one seems to know about Friday. If there isn't any additional training on Friday, We start full force on Tuesday.
I am very happy with what I did get done this summer. There are only a couple of things I still need to do, but they will get done before anything else goes onto my "list".

Hello everyone
Long time no speak. I was so busy with Amanda. We had a great time. She was funny every little thing she really appreciated. Like cold milk....I guess in Peru they sell it warm in packets that you tear open (like vacuumed sealed packets). She said it tasted awful, she just didn't drink milk while she was there. In fact all drinks are warm there. So cold glasses of any kind of drink was a treat to her. A nice long shower was wonderful. A nice decent bed was great. Air conditioning. TV with OUR kind of entertainment...she was like a kid in a candy store. First restaurants were Red Robin for a veggie burger and Jimmy Johns and Southern Belle for waffles...yep these are things she was dying for...hahaha!!!
We went clothes shopping...the clothes she wore for 2+ years were really ratty. Then a hair cut and a pedicure...and she was a new woman.
She was asking about the curved phones and how big phones got. She had heard about certain things that she was asking about.
Then came back to a desk full of work yesterday. I was here for hours after work to catch up. The fun has ended. Oh well.
Well got to get back to work...have a great day all.

Good Morning,
My morning isn't going to good. All I have done is place a couple of orders on the internet, and took my meds and washed my hair. I really need to finish up some stuff, so tomorrow I can do nothing 
.
We got another downpour yesterday afternoon. No complaints, we need it, plus I don't have to water. It is a win win.
Heading for work training on Thursday. New season starts on Tuesday. It will be interesting, since if the people don't have their SS cards or SS award letter, they cannot jst go to Social Security and get it anymore. You have to go on line to get them, and when we are busy, we don't have time to do it for them. We will see what happens.
