Good day everyone,
I don't believe it with our weather here. It is early to bring out our sweaters and all that stuff.
This morning I signed up for a 5k walk out in Carl Hansen Woods (Grove 1), RT 59 between Shoe Factory RD & Golf RD Hoffman, IL. 60195. The walk that I signed up for is called "Conquer Chiari Walk Across America", the walk is on September 20, 2014. What I found out on Conquer Chiari's Facebook page that is as far as of August 26, 2014 that there more than 400 participants so far for this years walk. This is a NSV (non-scale victory) under my belt. If I don't forget and I'll try my best to bring my camera with me on September 20th to the event. I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it last year. I hope the weather is going to be a good on that day. I can't wait for next Saturday to get here. I'm going to get myself ready between now and the day before the event. I hope I can make it from the start line to the finish line, I never did a 5k walk before. This is my very first 5k walk.

Happy Saturday,
Who would of believed it! We have heat on in early September! Ok, I will admit it, I love the fall of the year, but even for me, this is early to be dragging out the sweaters, closed toe shoes, and scarfs.
I think the cucumber vines need to be pulled. They are starting to dry out. This is the first time we have planted them, and we did it on a trellis. They did great! They will be planted next year too.
i have a bunch of little things that I want to do today. Cookies in a pumpkin shape to take to my Annettes tomorrow, a couple of cabinets that need cleaning out, a run to the store, meet some friends for lunch (maybe) an early dinner to make, and some other stuff if I get to it.
Does anyone have some fun thing to do?
Hugs,
Good evening everyone,
Today I had my pre-op testing for my upcoming surgery for my right knee replacement, somewhat a long day. On the way home I stopped at the Target that's near my apartment and stopped by the pharmacy to get my flu shot for the upcoming 2014/2015 flu season and Fall season, so I'm good to go. Not sure what I'll be doing for the weekend, going to play it by ear. I might go to a used book store and/or go to a thrift shop. I know one thing I'll be doing is a load of laundry. My aunt said the other day that she and her husband is going to help me take out my window air conditioner some time over the weekend, that's so nice of her and her husband to do that for me.
Have a great night everyone.

Hello everyone
My big plans for today are working and going to Bed Bath & Beyond because I have coupons!!! And then I want to get to Target. That will be it for me.
I want to say things have been very quiet at work. It's eery. I almost don't want to let my guard down. My boss has been fine but I keep thinking how long can that last??? I have been walking on egg shells for so long it's hard to believe that everything will be fine now. But my old boss has said the president of the company will not tolerate this "bully" culture any longer. So if my boss continues with her attitude she will be gone as well. But I guess I am not ready to believe quite yet.
As far as the weather goes...I don't mind Fall weather. I'm just not looking forward to another Winter....especially like the one we had last year. I keep hearing it will be just as bad as last year too. Ugh!!!
Well time to get back to work. Have a great day all...bye
Good Morning Illinois!
Burr, it is quite cool this morning. I have to go do some running this morning, and I am seriously thinking of either a sweater or a sweatshirt. I am not complaining!!!!
We are going to see Dial M for Murder this evening, at our local playhouse. Itlooks good. This is the only show this season that is not a musical. Next month, the final month of the season, will be the Andrew brothers. They are also having a special show in November, called legneds.
I am already looking forward to next years plays.
I did find a pair of black flats yesterday after work. I decided it was better to shop this week, after I worked in LaSalled, to stop at the mall on my way home. That way, no extra trip this weekend.
What is on your plate today?
Hugs,
I did but they decided right away that I was severly dehydrated and did several IV bags of fluid. The first one the nurse stood there and pushed through. Within a few hours I was peeing normally again. It delayed my release.
I tend to get dehydrated pretty easily so I'm not surprised.
The docs are concerned about a low urine output. So they are gong to run blood work. Did anyone else go through this?
Great to hear that the surgery went extremely well. I made room on the losers bench and welcome to the losers bench. All will be good/great from here on out this journey. I know that you'll do great.
