Happy Monday. I'm fighting a bit of boredom right now. I bought a few movies, so I might pop one of those in. And then I might pick up the cross-stitching.
I put a couple of pictures up on my profile if you're interested. Both were taken in the last couple of weeks.
Hi, It is Monday, so everyone needs to get going and get to work ordo whatever else you are doing today. Yesterday was a perfect fall day. Today, they are saying rain again.
We had a great time visiting with our kids yesterday. Of course, I always enjoy spending time with all of them at one time. We are so lucky to have 2 daughters and 2 son in laws that like to share time with us.
I will be working alone today. My co-workers' hubby is having surgery. Hopefully I won't get behind to much. I do have a few tricks that I can use if it happens.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
I'm recovering from surgery as well, sort of! They ended up giving me a general anesthesia on Wednesday for a Colonoscopy, couldn't access the last five inches cause of twisting so tomorrow I have to go of an X-ray.
i would rather be on the road to Chicago!!!!
Now we aren't leaving till next Monday.
Welcome home Kay and Connie!

Hi everyone. I'm doing more resting and recovering today. Hubby made me scrambled eggs with double protein milk and cheese. It was good. I'm drinking the rest of the double protein milk now....I don't like it. I asked hubby to pick up some sugar free chocolate syrup when he goes shopping. I have a bit more pain today than yesterday, I guess my guts are finally waking up. I also had my first BM (sorry to be graphic). I'll have to make sure to take the stool softener every night for a while, cause it was rough going. I went out for a while yesterday. Hubby had dropped the kids off at my sister's for a birthday party and I went with him to pick them up. We wound up sitting around for over an hour just chatting. It was nice, but exhausting. I'm the type who tries to do too much too soon, so hubby is keeping a tight reign on me which is a good thing. I see the laundry waiting to be done and I want to help out, but knowing he will strangle me keeps me on the couch. But I am getting walks in, which is good. When he gets home, we'll take an afternoon walk, and then more after that.
I hope everyone has a good Sunday.
Lisa
Hello everyone
What a nice Sunday it is. I had to break out my sweaters a little earlier than expected. But the crisp cool weather is enjoyable.
Today I will be doing some shopping at Trader Joes. I have some laundry to do. And some housework to do. That is it for me....I will come home and relax.
FYI- I like my cornbread very sweet. Almost like a muffin.
Well...enjoy your Sunday all.
Good morning and good day to everyone,
Yup. I also enjoyed yesterday and I know I'm going to enjoy today.
Indeed welcome back home Kay and Connie. Hope all went well for the two of you.
I have a load of laundry to do for today also I'm going to do some reading from one of my Stephen King books. I might go up to Starbucks and get a pumpkin spice Frappuccino coffee. Happy Birthday to Rick.
I hope you have a great and safe time in St. Louis at you 50th class reunion.
Thank you, I know it'll be a great one next weekend. I'll try to post how everything when I'm back home at some point that day if not the next day if I'm not that tired.
Have a great day everyone.

Otherwise, all I am going to do is lay out the clothes I need to pack for the weekend. We are heading to St. Louis for my 50th class reunion and some personal stuff that has to be addressed.

Hi folks!
We are home from Spain, tired and jet-lagged but we had a great time. I loved speaking Spanish for two weeks and also enjoyed the architecture and the food. But it's always nice to be home! The store did fine without us which was a relief, but we were sure it would be fine. New classes start this week so we'll be busy.
Hope you all are OK!

Good for you on the 5k! I plan on doing that too, eventually.
Today I've been relaxing and hanging out at home. I had slight trouble eating my pureed chicken and mashed potatoes, but I think that is because I ate too fast. For breakfast it was a protein shake, and for dinner it was pureed lentil soup and baby food peaches. I'll have another shake before bed. I'm doing my best to move around and to get my water in.
Thank you all for the support!!! I really appreciate it.
