I be at work, work, work!
We are all settling in with our new chief. Next are two more promotions and then somewhere down the line we will need to hire a new PO for patrol due to the sergeant promotion.
What is happening in your world?

I dislike the range of font colors they give you now. Oh well. Moving on.
It has been busy for me for the last several days since late last week and then I heard from one of my friends that her aunt died. The aunt was a Catholic Sister with the IBVM. The Order is world wide and local to me in Wheaton. I loved this lady who was a prankster, wonderful woman of Christ, educator, licensed massage therapist . . . She will be missed by many.
FALL - we are moving on with necessary things to do within our world and for us to lay down a concrete path for our retirement. We are tossing around places to live after we sell our house. Yes, sell our house. We do not need the yard work nor the 2 flights of steps to go in our house. WHAT WERE WE THINKING WHEN WE BOUGHT A CAPE COD HOUSE 36 years ago? Wheaton, Naperville, Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, Glen Ellyn, Roselle all look good right now. We are thinking of renting first and then finding a condo or townhouse afterwards. We want to live along a commuter train line.
Oh well.

Hello everyone
I have been so busy at work. I try get on here and then I end up with a half written message sitting here at the end of the day...and I think, geeze I never finished that from this morning.
The news here from work. My boss been acting decent towards me all this time. I just found out that she is under investigation for an incident from February where she was screaming at an a coworker of mine, right in front of us. My coworker ended up breaking down getting upset and screaming back and a day later she went on disability...siting nervous break down. Four people from the office are being questioned that witnessed the whole thing...I'm not one of them. My boss should be happy about that...I would tell the whole truth and not hold back. She was being awful to that poor woman. If you ask me this might be the nail in my boss's coffin so to speak.
Any way I am happy because my trip to Michigan is coming soon...not soon enough. I need a break.
I also have been going to Greg's church a lot lately and becoming more involved there. They have all been very welcoming. It just so happens that he i****heran the same as me. And he is very involved in the IT (computer stuff) there for the church and school and I help out with what I can. I like there a lot and the people are very nice.
I have been coming on here and reading everyone's stuff so I do know what's going on with you all. Hope you all have a great day!!!!
Happy Hump Day,
I am off to work shortly. The last 2 days, we have been busy in the morning, and no one in the afternoon. Weird.
I pulled the last of the tomatoes and cukes last night. That is a sure sign that summer is whinding down. The green pepper through are going like blazes. My flowers are starting to die too. Oh well, another season is upon us.
I am taking cheese cubes for my snack today. Then I will go to Culver's for soup or chili for lunch. I am trying to eat more protein then not. I am also taking some grapes. I willl eat my protein bar on my way to work.
Have a great day,
Hugs,

Hi everyone!! Today I took the van in for its first oil change and then I went to Carson's for some K-cups and a gift for hubby. I'm so thankful for everything he has done for me, I got him a bottle of new cologne, Polo Red. He had sniffed it in a magazine and said he liked it, so I got it. I know it's something he wouldn't get for himself right now because of the cost. But I got 20% off and a free gift too! I hope he likes it.
Now I'm just mindless listening to the TV and working on my cross-stitching. It's really coming along.
I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys this beautiful weather!

Good morning Karen and the rest of Illinois!
I am catching up on my computer work this morning, then an errand or two. This afternoon, I go up to Monroe for a mammogram. FUN! Maybe not, but necessary.
Not much else exciting.
Everyone have a splendid day!
Morning to all! I was just doing a quick stop by on my way out to go to the farmers market to get my produce for the week! Not much really going on in my part of Illinois, how about you? I was hoping to make it to Downers Grove in October but financially I don't see it happening! Not to mention my boss will be laid up because she is have her knee replaced October 2nd. Now keep in mind they told me to get mine done in the summer so not to mess up the bus schedule, why can she do it not in the summer? Because she is the boss that's why! Oh well, hope all goes well for her! Well gotta run, got to get in my 10000 steps plus yet today!
Karen
Hi, I know I have been mia, we were in St Louis over the weekend. So, I am still worn out and I have to work the whole week.
Anyway, it was my 50th year, high school reunion weekend. I don't know about everyone else, but there is no way I can party for 3 days in a row. At least not like we did 50 years ago! I had fun with everyone, and even met a couple of people I really didn't know in high school. We toured the high school. It has been compleatly redone. It was nice, they even have a vocational school with it.
Away from all the festivities, Hubert and I went to the gambling boat and out for a couple of great lunches.
Otherwise, back t o work today, and I am going to rest this evening.
Have a great evening,
Hugs,
Good afternoon, Illinois!
I can't believe no one has been here yet today, so I'll start!
I am doing well, just nothing exciting like the rest of you all. My life is same ol', same ol'. At least it seems like that to me.
I actually SPOKE with Liv for over an hour on the phone yesterday and she is doing well. She is staying her course and studying (shown by her "B" on a Calculas test----she might have gotten 1 "B" in her high school Calc career.....) instead of partying. Her roommate and other friend from New York have been hitting parties and were ticketed by the police for possession of alcohol by a minor. $ 470.00 for each ticket! That is A LOT of money for a starving college student. Well.....maybe those girls aren't starving and maybe their parents are going to pay. I am just glad that Liv understands what her purpose of being there entails. So far, she is making good decisions. She practices and plays Quidditch, is a member of her dorm's committee, is in the Shark Club and Sea Turtle Clubs, studies and does laundry. These activities keep her very busy. She is looking for a church, but has not found one yet. I am proud of her and glad that she has a good head on her shoulders.
David........not so much. He is back home and shows no ambition to have a better life.
Amber is doing well at her job and Riley is the light of my life. Todd is behaving. So......life is good.
I am meeting with my sponsor in a short time here today to do my 5th Step. Maybe 6 and 7 right after. Women's meeting tonight. Sending out some resumes.
Everyone seems to be very busy. I hope Carla is doing better and each of you has exactly what you need!
Have a great evening!
