Wow, I lost track of time and did not realize it had been 3 months. What a neat adventure and new chapter in your lives. We are starting on a new chapter also and it is called laying the foundation for our retirement but it does not include starting a new business. There are yarn stores in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn that I noticed but have not gone into. I still like to crochet when I set my mind to a project.

Hi everyone!
We completed three months today! It doesn't seem possible. Some days it seems like we've been doing this for years and others, just a week or two. We are having a ball and are so glad we started this adventure!
Hope you all are doing well!

Hi,
I just did a dumb thing, I looked at the clock, and thought it said 4:30, and of course, it said 3:30. I didn't realize it until I went to the post office and then drove home, for Hubert to tell me I was home early . So, I am back to wor****il the right time to leave. That is the way this whole day has gone. I got to work this morning and realized I had left my hearing aid at home. I made a fast trip home to get it. Thank goodness I was working intown today, not 10 min. From home.
no plans except work for the next couple of days, none for the weekend either. I may try to go to SAMs Club this weekend. I need a few things from there.
have a great week.
We have done a lot of thinking on it. We would love to be close to the Cheddar Curtain/state line but all of my family is here in the area of Itasca/Elgin/Fox Lake and in between. In addition that our doctors and dentist is here also. We have fantastic hospitals and with my bowel disease and obstructions I need one close by. We want to be in walking distance to a commuter train line, restaurants, shopping, churches to name a few. Though Glen Ellyn does not have a grocery store right downtown there always is Peapod! Glen Ellyn has all the other places to go to and all near the train and you can walk to it. It even has a small movie theater. I used to go to it when I was a kid. They still run recent released movies. We are looking to first rent and then buy a condo.

Off to the ole salt mines shortly. Yesterday the boss took a vaca day so the other girl and I were left alone and low and behold we were able to get all of our work done and then some!
Not much else going on other than I have a baby shower this week-end that I have been looking forward to.

Hi I'm home and doing sort of OK. I didn't have surgery yet. I have to see the gastric bypass specialist at Tampa General when I get back from Chicago. I'm flying to Chicago in the 15th to take care of Vinnie for a week.
Good afternoon Chris and the rest of Illinois!
I am home for an hour or so before I head back into Freeport. I went to Aldi's to get some things for some soups and chilis that I feel like making.
Not too much else happening here in the west.
Sounds exciting to be looking for new digs. I thought you were looking to move to Wisconsin though?
I looked but could not find the answer.....did Carla have surgery? Is she ok?
Gotta find some dinner.....everyone have a great evening!
Better late than never.
We had a full week-end with service at Willow and then yesterday we did a major walking tour of Glen Ellyn and a little bit of Wheaton. Glen Ellyn wins hands down. Wheaton was a little run down and did not have as many small business owners/restaurants. We are going to check out Elmhurst eventually. This will be at the far east end of where we would want to go but it has a great small business downtown area also. All towns have either condos, apartments or town houses near the town center. All towns have a beavy of churches to choose from also.
I have been doing a major purge of junk and what nots in the house that we really do not need anymore nor use. I look forward to getting into the kitchen cabinets to dejunk there also. And before you say have a garage sale - NO. I do not want to keep the junk around that long nor want to deal with having the sale. RESALE shop here I come.

Hi Connie and the rest of Illinois!
I am checking in late tonight. I had a long nap this afternoon due to a bad headache and just feeling the need.
I finished my fifth step on Thursday night and have been working on 6. 7 will be early in the week.
Yesterday was very busy, I went to a neighbor's nail party in the afternoon. It is something relatively new called "Jamberry Nails". Kind of a plastic overlay. They are very pretty but seem expensive. I bought a few for me and the girls for Christmas stocking gifts.
Yesterday evening, I attended a play at a new theater company in Rockford. The company is called the "West Side Show Room" and the Play was, "Psycho Beach Party". One of my friends from Pec Playhouse was in the play and actually, it turned out that two other actors from Pec were in it. It was very funny. The showroom is very small. 60 folding chairs and the stage in a storefront. They really utilized the space well. The play has been extended for next weekend and they will be having scenes and such all day on Saturday during, "Art Scene" in downtown Rockford.
When I left, I needed a couple of things and stopped at Walmart. When I came out, a car in the lot was on fire in the engine compartment. I seemed to be the only person that knew how to use their phone for calling 911.....others were taking pictures and video. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Today, I wanted to enjoy the weather, but the headache derailed that idea. I feel better, so I must have needed the nap. I have been seeing a chiropractor for 6 months but he has not been able to make the neck pain/knot go away. My insurance has paid for everything, but my chiro benefit has been used up. I guess I will have to attack it medically next. I see my primary on Thursday, so we will see what she thinks.
I have been sending some resumes but have not heard anything. I am thinking of taking a retail position for the Holidays. It will be a start. I am very gun shy concerning returning to work, but I need an income.
That's about it for me.
Everyone enjoy this lovely weather while we have it!
Good Afternoon Everyone!
It has been a great weekend! I took Friday off as it was my birthday and I sure did not want to spend it in the he## hole called work getting yelled at by customers. So I slept in, played with the kitties and took a nap. Rick took me out to dinner. So it was a good day. Yesterday we did things around the house. Today we just got home from going out to eat with both of my sisters. One sister was on her way home from her 50th high school reunion and the other one and her hubby were coming from a wedding in Iowa. It was fun to get together for lunch! We havent had a meal together in a long time. They are now both back on the road again. Barb is heading to her cabin in Wisconsin for the fall colors. Patti an Bob home to Indiana then on to Florida mid week to their other home and babysitting grandkids.
Work is work. I believe I See our call center closing by the end of the year. At least it will not be a surprise if it closes. IT will come as a shock if we are not totally outsourced overseas. They have outsourced our retail side. I imagine the contract side will soon follow. If not, then I am really dumb at reading the handwriting on the wall.
I am applying for other jobs. I dont think I Have a huge chance at finding something at my age but it is worth a shot.
Rick and I are hanging in there. I would love to retire but dont think I can swing it. Sigh.
The cats keep us entertained constantly. They are always so funny and one of them is always up to something.
I AM loving the weather. I wi**** could stay this way always.
Hope everyone is good. Take care and have a good week!
