Not much going on after work today but I know I will find something to do when I get home.

Lisa, we were told last night that people that have been in a house as long as you and I (we have been here since May of '75) need to start clearing out your house five years before you plan to sell and move. It is not just the sorting the stuff it is also to remove wall paper, paint, repair, update landscaping then one needs to keep it all spiffy during the sale. It is overwhelming to think about it but we are motivated to get it done sooner rather than later. At least we have the winter months that you basically are held captive in the house that we can get it done.

I decided that this morning was going to be stain the new door morning. Got that done and another small paint project done. Laundry and dishes are being done now.
We went to the party in Bloomington late yesterday afternoon. It was so nice out, we were all on the patio until we left. I told Hubert we needed to have a last fire here before it gets to cold.
We are heading to Ottawa this afternoon for a birthday party for Hubert's uncle. He turns 90.
I sure wouldn't want to be moving. We have been here since 75, and I know, it would take months to sort, discard and decide what to keep. Good luck.
Hugs,
Happy Sunday! I have a lot to do today plus we have some people coming over to pick-up a fridge and a bike that we are giving away. That will be later in the afternoon for both of those items but before that I have laundry to hang outside and a bathroom, dining room, living room and three season room to straighten up. We met up with our realtor friends last night and they answered some of our questions as to the pre sale of our house and what we need to do. It is going to be work and we knew that.
What is happening in your corner of IL?

We are just going through Springfield. I am really looking forward to seeing some old friends. One we haven't seen in over 7 years. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Good Morning, I have been busy this morning making stuffed mushrooms and a Kugel (noodle pudding) to take to an Octoberfest party tonight. Now I have to clean up the kitchen.
The roofers are here to repair the area above the new addition, It was leaking in the area that they replaced last year, but we didn't realize it, since it was just going into the basement entry.
Otherwise, nothing else is happening.
It was good to see Dawn yesterday. I know she is always busy. Here's hoping she lands the job she wants.
Hugs,
Not too much going on today. Off to the Creek to serve in the Green Room during the service then we have plans to meet up with friends for dinner afterwards. They are our real estate agents and we are going to touch base with them as to the sale of our house.

We are heading to the St. Louis area for the weekend. I'm looking forward to it. We are visiting friends, going to the Soulard Farmer's Market and Eckert's family pumpkin farm. I can't wait for some relaxation. The kids are doing well. Parker had his JH Halloween Dance tonight and had a good time. The girls will have their in class parties on Halloween. I can't believe we are almost to the end of October. Where has the time gone?
Good afternoon Illinois!!!!
I can't believe how long it's been since I checked in! I hope everyone is doing well. I am.
I have been cast in a shadowcast production of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and show nights are tonight and tomorrow night. Dress rehearsal last night lasted until 12:30 am and I didn't get to bed until 2:00 am! Very late for me, but I only have to do it for two more days. I am having a blast! This is kind of a big deal for me. I have always been interested in theater and was actually cast in high school but that play got cancelled. Then, my life changed drastically. I have always been interested in theater and, as some of you know, I was involved with my kids for the last 6-7 years. I did not audition myself for many reasons, although I wished that I could've/would've/should've. When THIS show came up, I figured, "why not? Can't get cast if I don't audition". Not only was I cast, but I am now playing Magenta and involved in many of the scenes. I am the oldest person in the building, but I keep up with those youngsters quite well. This is giving me the confidence to try for other shows with a greater commitment. AND.......the cherry on top?????? Last night, most (if not all) of the cast were indulging in rum and coke to, "loosen up and get comfortable". NOT ME!!!!!! I am doing this SOBER! Hahahahahaha! Who would have thought??????
I also have applied and have an interview on Wednesday for a position at the bank where I used to work. In retrospect, I should never have left my position there. By now, I would have been an officer and earned my gold watch for 20 years of service. The position is in the Trust/Retirement Department, which I find fitting, since I would LOVE to be retired. I can do this job with my eyes closed. If it is offered, I will most likely accept as it is a fantastic place to work and it would be a fine ending to my career years.
Other than that, I am missing Liv a lot. She is doing well, I just miss her being here. She is very busy and isn't as communicative as she once was. I am working on getting her home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. She did not thing she would be home for Thanksgiving (due to cost), but I am working on a plan to be able to afford both flights.
David comes and goes and Todd is usually easier to live with lately.
I do think of you often and I wish nothing but great things for you all!
Hi Crystal!
I have a long history with UTI's, and recently, it was one every month or two! My doctor asked some questions about peri-menopause and he had me try "Premarin" cream. I was very skeptical, but I have not had a UTI for over a year! He told me that for some it works wonders and some, not so much. For me......it has been a miracle!
Just a thought.......love ya!
