Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I finally got Liv's tickets for coming home for Thanksgiving! I am SO excited to see her. We weren't sure if we could swing it, but I finally decided that it is important to have her here.
I am planning on taking an application to Swiss Colony today.
I have been trying to start a Facebook page for my products, but I can't figure out how to get a price sheet.
Besides that, not much.
Stool softeners are not addicting as they only soften the stool itself. Laxatives cause the colon to spasm and/or "relax" to make stool move through. (This is my understanding.) For the first few years, I took stool softeners every night as part of my vitamin routine. Also, make sure you are getting your 64 oz. of water each day. I still take softeners as needed, especially when I had the broken ankle and was taking hydrocodone for pain. I also SWEAR by probiotics. I have taken them almost since day one. They help with the awful gas that comes with a high protein diet.
When I was drinking, I had the opposite problem. Now, I only use the probiotics.
Hello everyone
Audit season is upon us...god help me. Ugh....I hate it. I got my list from the auditors of the things they want to see. So I have to go pull the files and copy them and label them and send them and then refile them. It's a pain. And of course my boss feels the need to explain the procedure to me like I haven't done it twice a year since I have been here.
Nancy- I am wondering if stool softners can also have the same eventual effect as laxatives. Meaning it can become addicting to your body and you won't be able to go without them. That is why I hate laxatives. My mom was a laxative addict towards the end of her life and it was horrible.
Today I am going cell phone shopping. I am actually thinking about getting something other than an Apple. I know shocking!!!
Well I better get going. Have a good day all. Stay warm.
Note to Self. Please have Hubby put Terra Cotta pumpkins in basement.
Good Morning, I woke up at 3:30, and, could not get back to sleep. So, I will shorty be starting on some stuff that needs done. Then, maybe start to clean up the closet. I want to color group my clothes, so I can find what I want easier.
A new, old resturant opened back up here in town last week. It had been opened for years when the owner died. The new owners are using the same menu, the same size portions and service. Needless to say, we will become regulars again.
Don't blow away in the wind today. Stay safe.
Hugs,
Hi Everyone!
Long time no post! I read every day but usually I am too tired by the time I get on here to post. I hate not being able to post while I am at work. Even when I am on break. I dont see what the big deal is. Oh well.
Work is so crazy busy. After they have laid so many people off, we have the phones ringing off the hook. There is not even time to get a drink of water between calls. It makes the day go somewhat faster, except for the times when you want to beat your head against the desk! There are days when everyone is so whiney. Right now I think I am dealing with a bunch of kids. Everyone is so whiney. Also, they will not answer questions when you ask them. They do not even listen to the question but just answer with whatever they think you need to know. It makes for interesting conversations.
Rick and I are doing great. Both of us laugh at our aches and pains. We argue over who's back feels worse lol.
The cats are doing wonderful. They are getting along so well. Nibbles loves playing with everyone and is always instigating playtime with someone. Gizzy has a cold right now so he is laying low for the time being. Buffy is being her usual spoiled brat act. They got a new cat tree and now fight over who gets to use it. It is hilarious to watch them try to convince one another to give up prime real estate.
I agree with Lisa, it is nice to go to work in the daylight again but I know that will not last. This morning it was beautiful sunshine. I am not looking forward to colder weather.
I hope everyone has a great remaining week!

When I have this problem I take a stool softener, not a laxative. They are not something that you get dependant on. They work for me. I usually get the generic ones at Walmart. I take 2 every evening. I have also taken some probiotics and those also seem to do a wonderful job of cleaning you out. In fact I quit taking them as they did too good of a job!

Hello everyone
Today after work I am running some errands. That should keep me busy for awhile and then I will come home and do some clean up. That's my exciting day in a nut shell.
This is a little TMI. I have been having major problems with constipation. I go about once a week....that's it. I have tried Metamucil and fiber tablets with little help. The only thing that does help and I don't want to get into the habit of using this...is laxatives. I was talking to someone about this and she has the very opposite problem. She suggested digestive enzymes. So I am trying these now. I am thinking I may have IBS with constipation...but I'm not sure. I thought about seeing the doctor but the last thing I want is to take MORE medicine!!! Ugh... I really want to see if I can handle this on my own.
How does one grease their walls so badly that you have to rent something to clean them???
Well anyway...I better get going see you all later
Here it is, hump day! I love the fact that it is light in the morning when I get up, but hate the fact that it is dark so early in the evening. There is no pleasing me
I need to call the phone company later today. The voice's on the phone are all garbled.
Hubert wanted a steam cleaner, so that got ordered from Walmart this morning. He wants it to clean some badly greased walls in a rental unit. I agree. It will be easier then how we have cleaned before. Having it delivered free to the house works for me also.
I am off to work, for my "Friday". What is happening in your world?
Hi folks!
well it's evening and no one has posted. As usual we have been so busy I haven't been on OH even to read. The store is going well, way better than we hoped. This is the busiest time of year from what we hear. OMG we are amazed!
we are finding it hard to eat nutritiously some days. We do eat an OK breakfast and usually yogurt or cottage cheese for lunch, but by dinner we are almost too tired to think. We've done some early prep on Sunday but we get tired of so many leftovers or frozen mini leftovers. We need to do more planning or maybe we should try to get a bigger meal at lunch and yogurt for dinner.
So that's what's going on here--same old, same old. Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying life!

The band and choir of Lisle Junior High School will be preforming a Veteran's Day concert on Monday, November 10 at 7:00. The location is the Lisle Junior High School, which is a couple of blocks from the intersection of route 53 and Maple (55th street). All are welcome to attend, and if you are a veteran or active military person, feel free to come in uniform. My son is in both the band and choir. I hear this is an excellent concert. And it's FREE!!!
