It is looking very messy out there today. At least it is above freezing.
Dr. appointment in 30 min. and I woke up late.
Catch everyone later,
Hugs,
Hi All,
After today, there are only 2 more weekends until Christmas. Is everyone ready? My Elf has been hiding for a few days, but since I know where he is......I am sure he will be getting into more mischief.
I am trying hard not to plan on baking to much. All I want to bake is Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter cookies. A few cutouts and Gingerbread Men. That will be done next week.
I decided last night, that I am going to look for a new wedding band for Hubert. He stopped wearing one years ago, since he was in electronics and was worried about getting electricuted while working on TV's. That is my errand for today.
This evening we are headed to LaSalle, Illinois, for a concert of Brule'. It is the last one of a series called Starved Rock Country. I am hoping to go to Olive Garden for dinner.
Have a great day,
Huggers,
Hello Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am making a cake for Todd's birthday. I thought I would surprise/embarrass him with it at work. 49 candles is a lot! I'm sure I won't be able to light them, but they will make a spectacle. Not sure if we are going out for dinner or having Portillo's since I didn't get to it last night.
Lisa, I keep saying the same thing about work. I am so busy that I don't know where I will fit it in! If I can sell enough bath and beauty products, maybe I won't have to go back.
I pick Liv up next Friday, at 10 am, from O'Hare. She will be home a whole month! I think we will try to go to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. She likes it there.
I am very happy for Crystal since she is so happy! How exciting to begin a new chapter.
Not much else, everyone have a fantastic day!
Hello everyone
I have most of my boxes and bags bought. It's just getting the presents into them. But I decided to wait till I move for that.
Today after work I am going to Hobby Lobby to buy an ornament for our ornament exchange at work. The have cute ornaments. Then to Jewel for some last minute stuff for the dinner and dessert I am making for Sunday.
I have this urge to just start packing and packing but I have to keep everything nice for the dinner Sunday. And then I can tear into everything. I have been going through my closets and throwing stuff out and I gave away two bags of clothes. Just thinning out the inventory....less to pack then. I am, in my mind figuring out how I am going to pack everything. I also have to figure out what I want in storage and what I want with me for six months.
He will be surprised how fast I can pack and move I am sure. I am a force to be reckoned with once I get going. I moved all by myself last time in 1 1/2 weeks. I just had help with few heavy objects. I told him that and said with him helping I should be able to do this easily...lol.
Well back to work...have a great day
TGIF!
For some reason, I kept thinking that yesterday was Sunday. I know today is Friday. Maybe I am over thinking it.
Great news Crystal. I am happy for you.
I wrapped presents yesterday. Now, I need some paper. It is not the amount of gifts that I wrapped, but the size of boxes. I am thinking for next year, if the gift is going to be bigger then a shoebox, it won't get bought. I only have 6 more to wrap.
This morning, I have errands to do, then I am going to get a color and cut.
What is happening in your world?
You are absolutely correct. this is why we believe it is an unfair fee. I also think that the university may be trying to rile up some politics with this move........
Galena? You will be going right by me! I love Galena! When you are heading down 20, wave as you pass Rock City Road and know that I am just 10 minutes north.
That is the kicker, Crystal.
They do not want the money for insurance for Olivia or any other student. They want this money to "offer an option" for healthcare insurance for THEIR EMPLOYEES that do not otherwise qualify. This tells me that they have to offer an option to every employee, including part-timers from the community. Although many students work part time for the university, the ACA also says that they can be on their parents' insurance until they are 26. Liv will stay on our insurance also. It just seems to me to be a political move and an unwarranted fee.
Hello everyone
I went downtown Naperville last night and bought some yummy chocolates for some people for Christmas. Including Amanda and Greg. We ate a pub and walked around a bit but it was cold and cut it short. It wasn't very crowded surprisingly. That's why I wanted to do it in the middle of the week. Now all I have left to do is buy a few gift boxes and bags.
Ok I do have some big news and I have been keeping it under wraps. I haven't announced it to everyone until everyone in my family knows. I will tell the rest know this weekend at dinner. I told Amanda and she's happy for me. Me and Greg are moving in together. I have put notice in at my complex and I will be packing up starting this next week. I have to be out by the first of the month. Yep. I am moving during the Christmas season....what am I thinking??? Well we wanted to beat the bad weather...hahaha!!! Greg's lease is up in June and we will be looking for a house. We were thinking in the New Lenox area. So in the next few months with both of us living under one roof....we look at it as a chance to save some money before the "big move" in June. Most of my stuff will be going into storage. Ugh...as you might remember...this moving stuff stresses me out. And add to that Christmas. I just want to get it done as fast as possible and enjoy the week of Christmas.
I figure I will let the rest of the world know when it's all said and done!!!
Well back to work...have a wonderful day all
