The week-end is almost here, hang on everyone.
Off to get ready for work soon. I am just enjoying the rest of my B-fast. I bought an iron skillet at an antique mall while in IN with the help of my sister. She deals antiques and she told me how to dicker and I got it 10% off. The skillet is beautifully seasoned and nothing sticks in it. I had wanted one for years. Food cooks more evenly than other cooking utensils. Easy to care for also.

Elmhurst is just starting up their program and have not done any surgery yet. My DH and I are good friends with the head of patient and food services.
Some support groups that are open to the public MAY have a small service fee to attend.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Medicaid doctors. Again, try and call the # for customer service and see where they can get you started.
Just did a Google search for Medicaid doctors chicago and a lot of links popped up.
Also, there should be a website for your program. It might be on your card. Look in your paperwork for your member handbook. If you do not have one then contact customer service and request on.

Oh, ok, yes that makes a lot more sense. Thank you for replying so quickly!
I was only confused because the card came out of the blue instead of the Cook County Care that I had applied for initially.
April was my fantasy month to have WLS, but that was considering a lot of things happening quickly and positively; me being able to use the referral, for example. Of course I don't care how long it takes before I would get the surgery, the process alone is going to help me become healthier anyway so it's not like I'm losing anything.
Thank you for your advice. You're right, I have Medicaid, HA!, I did check. That being said, do you recommend somewhere I can begin my search for a new doctor? Or would I still be able to go to the Doctor I went to before, just getting a new referral?
Crystal, I have had not sticky residue issues. I use very little of it as I have really short hair. I only use about a dime size of product, lather it in for a minute, rinse and then put the conditioner on my hair (the same amount) and let it stay there for five minutes while I take the rest of my shower and then rinse. It is a very concentrated product and one does not need to use very much. Even when I was using Redken I was instructed by my stylist to use the same amounts. The large bottles (33.8 oz) you can get at a salon will last me for about 9 months. I think people are so used to using products that they can get at stores for so long that they use a huge amount of it. Well, you have to use a huge amount of it because it mostly consists of water and a small amount of shampoo or conditioner.
Some of the comments that people wrote I take with a grain of salt. One does not know how much they used, did they rinse real well, what their health is and if they are over drying their hair with a blow dryer. Back when I started using it almost 2 years ago there was growth within the first month, my family noticed as did I when I saw before and after pictures and my stylist also said that she could see new growth at the forehead. My hair loss was from a long ago illness of pancreatitis in 1991 and heredity. My mother had super fine hair - though not as thin as mine.
This is all my opinion on it but also a lot of experience with the product.

Hello everyone
I am having a very slow day at work. Just trying to look busy. I really just want to be at home so I can be working on things there. I have about 80% of things packed. Today we are going to start bringing things over to his place so I can start staying there. Because my place is just boxes boxes boxes.
We are going to start moving the big things to the storage locker today. We are hoping with the nice weather this weekend we can get most everything done. What is slowing us down. We aren't renting a truck...which would be faster because you just load till it's full and go. Greg has got a trailer and is going to tow my stuff down to the storage unit (about a mile away). It will save us some money but not time. Because we will have to make several trips.
Christine- that Bosley stuff. Do you use the shampoo too. I was reading the reviews on Amazon and a lot of people were saying it leaves your hair with a sticky residue. That has stopped me from buying it. I have issues with my hair thinning. Mostly because of over processing. I have cut way back on that and treat my hair much "nicer" but in the mean time it would be nice to thicken up my hair a bit.
Well back to work...I guess. Have a good day all.
Who is your doctor? Many doctors and/or hospitals will have support groups. For instance my doctor - Rosen and Mikhale from Lifeweigh Bariatrics in Downers Grove has a support group for their patients only.
Check into the Kane Center at either Alexian Brothers Medical Center (Elk Grove Village) or their sister hospital St Alexsis in Hoffman Estates. I think that Silver Cross Hospital has a support group and I am sure there are others. Elmhurst Memorial in Elmhurst is just starting a bariatric program.
Good luck to you. Keep us informed as to what is happening with you.

Been at work for a while. It is a little more relaxed because the boss is off for several days.
Hair appointment for me after work. I have been letting it grow a little bit to give the illusion of it being fuller plus I have been using my medicated shampoo and conditioner from Bosley plus a mousse to make the hair look fuller.
