Topic: Saturday ROLL Call

HI dEAR ONES,

Typing in the dark, so please forgive the typos. Its about 5 and I wish i could have slept a little later. After just lying there praying and then playing with the cats, I decided to get up and make coffee.

I must have been in in  haze yesterday. I thought I stopped by and then noticed I posted in Thursdays spot instead of Friday.....

Lisa, I love baking bread. It is something I learned from my mom and I always think of her whle I am assembling everything and kneading the dough. I do it the old fashioned way, no machines, no measuring, everything done by feeling the dough. It is an old fashioned process that brings me peace while I am doing it and joy when the dough rises quickly.

Dawn, I love an early meetting and then having the whole day to do whatever i like. My step study is on Sunday mornings after church and I always feels full and filled afterwards like i have accomplished so much and I still have the entire day still ahead of me.

I recall being in the exact same position AS U when Katie was a junior. I had told her I would help her the first 2 years of college, but she was responsible to get the 3rd and 4th year fully funded herself. I got a call 2 weeks into her 3rd year that she was being kept out of class due to a mix up with a scholarship. I wasnt happy but i came through and I have never regretted that decision.

Crystal,  I luv SW air. I always take them whenever i can. I try to stick with one airline to get the free miles.

With sticking it out for work and not caving on your man choice, God has given you much fruit for all that pain you went thru last year. U are so blessed.

Connie, you sound so content and i am so happy for your blessings. does Kay love the shop like u do?

Carla, its defrosting here a bit. When are you returning?

Jason, how are you feeling these days? The sun has been bright so my mood has been a bit better. No doubt I have a bit of the winter blues but i get it almost every year and this year it is manageable.

Nancy, hoping you are good and got to enjoy Gage last week.

My day will be hanging out at home til the pm and then the big guy and I will run a few errands in the early afternoon and then come home to rib tips. I love making them in the oven. Yum.

Hugs,

Sharon

Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I am catching up on my computer work this afternoon and just about done.  I went to the 9 am meeting and had the rest of the day to myself.

I got Liv all straightened out so she can finish the semester with no big worries.  I feel better about that.

I am really trying to figure out what to make for dinner but nothing sounds appealing.  Oh well, it will come.

I went to see a GI doctor on Wednesday about my elevated liver numbers.  He ordered an ultrasound and some more specific blood tests.  He said that liver numbers are often false alarms, but it needs to be checked.  He seemed more concerned about my Iron/Ferretin levels, which are HIGH off the charts.  As a RNY patient, I should have low iron issues but no.  Four years ago, I took iron faithfully to keep the Ferretin close to "100".  Three years ago, it jumped to "237", I was happy.  Less than a year later, it jumped to "660" and I stopped taking supplements.  Last year, it was down to about "475" and this year it is "438".  He says that there is a disease that can cause high iron and he is checking for that.  So, back to Monroe on Thursday of next week.

Todd and I are heading to Madison tomorrow.  He is attending a Beer and Cheese Festival at the Alliant Center and I will entertain myself on State Street and go to Joe's.  We are staying overnight and will go somewhere for dinner; I just haven't decided where.  Connie, if you have any suggestions, let me know.

That's about it for me!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hello everyone

I have a puzzle too.  But I was waiting for a really snowy weekend to work on it.  You know one of those weekends where you just want to stay in and go no where.  Well that's me all winter long...but with a puzzle I have an excuse to stay in!!!  My puzzle is a Game of Thrones puzzle.  I love that TV show.

Well this weekend I would like to finally get to the movies to see Gone Girl...I never did do that last weekend.  Then we are shopping for a new bedding set at Bed Bath and Beyond.  And Sunday we are going into the city to eat at some pizza place that we saw on "diners, dives and drive-ins".  We are meeting some friends there.  Tonight will be a relaxing one once I get home after running around.

I can't sing enough praises about Greg.  Do you know he scrapes off my car every morning so I don't have to.  So nice.  As far as the wedding plans go...he always says "as long as you're happy".  We are lucky because of some traveling for work ha has enough points through Southwest to get us round trip tickets!!!

On another note my boss told me she didn't like the format of one of the spreadsheets that we have and if I have any ideas let her know.  So I cam up with my own spreadsheet and emailed it to her and she loved it!!!  She said it was the one we will use from now on.  And she like my initiative!!!  Yeah!!!  Finally a boss that compliments me and not tear me down!!!

Lisa-  baking bread sounds like a wonderful idea....hmmm.

Well I better get back to work.  See you all later.

I am dragging today. But the sky looks so blue and I must get my day started.

I worked yesterday and the weather was balmy compared to last week. Then I went to the gym last night and did interval training in the pool. It kicked my butt. Today I am sore and tired. Today I plan to get a few things done around here and then run an errand.

Looking forward to the weekend.

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs,

Sharon

Connie, I hope you are coming along better then I am on my puzzle. Hubert in his wisdom, bought a 2000 piece "Christmas Cookie" puzzle when we went to Bronners this summer. I finally started working on it last Sunday, and can't even get the frame together! Iwill plow away at it, and hopefully, have it done by next Christmas. Then, I will donate it to either Goodwill or take it to the nursing home where my cousin lives. I know I won't do it again!

Heading to Bloomington later today, to pick up Morgan. I think we will be cooking and baking bread tomorrow.

Have a great weekend,

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi all,

I can hardly believe it's Thursday night already. I thought I just posted yesterday! Working at the store makes the days fly by! We also have a yarn jigsaw puzzle at work which we will eventually frame after it's done and I can really waste time working on it. That's about all that's going on here.

Good Morning,

I have been up since 3:30. I fell asleep early. for me anyway, and woke up at 3:30. I forgotten to take my nighttime pills, and by that time, I wasn't going to take them, since I would be taking the morning pills by 5 or so. So, this is not starting out as a great day! the one bright spot is I  am not working today, so i can nap.

I do have some errands to run this morning. I also want to make sure that I have everything I need to make homemade bread this weekend with Morgan. I used to make it almost weekly, but after I started working, it was something that went by the wayside.

Enjoy your day,

Hugs,

Lisa

There's no way that I can make it to NC. I can't afford to, I'm on a very fixed income. Plus this site has gone down hill for me since I joined ObesityHelp (well...about two [2] years after I joined) five (5) years ago. To many changes over the five (5) years, things on here are starting to look & sound alike, everywhere on here like the forums (not much going on in them, the topics/questions seems to be alike [sounds  like each other, but put in a different ways] don't get me wrong on that). I really miss the chat-room that ObesityHelp use to have. Plus there were a lot of bad stuff that went on this site. There were people that I use to talk to on a daily basis and now I have seen them, talked to them, let alone heard from them in a very long time. Now a days the only stuff I do on here is the healthy tracker (food tracker & keeping track of my weight), and going onto my profile, now which I'm getting burnt out from it. This site use to be very active and now it's gone dull for me (don't get me wrong on that). I just need to get away from this site for awhile for now, that is if I decide to come back. Only time will tell. If I do decide to stay it only going to be for my profile & the health tracker.

Don't get me wrong, this is how I feel. I guess I need to take time off from ObesityHelp for the time being. I just hope I don't get thrown out from this site for what I said and how I feel about this site. I needed to vent all this out. Once again I just needed to vent that's all.

Hi Watson,

I voted for Chicago too. We just got out voted. Please tell me you are not leaving over this. We value you as a member and your success is off the charts.

Would it be possible for you to come to NC?  Now I am depressed.
