Hello everyone
Well I have had an upsetting day to say the least. My coworker got an anonymous letter sent to her house by a former employee. She called her and her kids very bad names. No threats just ranting. But it is disturbing because how did she know her address??? It was type written and no return address of course. To me it takes a very angry and disturbed person to do this. To type out a letter and find her address and mail it. The person we think did it was fired last month. And what is more upsetting is that I really liked her. And weirdly enough I got a card from her a few weeks back thanking me for being such a great coworker...always with a smile on my face. It didn't occur to me to think "hey how did she get my address". I even sent her a Christmas card back thanking her for her kind words. But when I heard of this incident I started to think...hey she sent me a card too. So I told my boss. So they knew. Complete disclosure. I don't want anyone thinking I am hiding something. Not to mention it kind of shows that she has a history of mailing things to employees. I just can't believe I was so wrong about her. Why didn't I see that she had a potential for this kind of hatred and craziness. I am a bad judge of people. I will say a little prayer for her in hopes that she gets out this dark place she is in.
I started out my day tired because I spent the whole day at church helping Greg rewire the computer lab to a new server....35 computers...ugh. We didn't get home till almost 10. It took 10 hours to do and we got all but one up and running. Yeah!!! But after this whole thing my mind has been going 100 mph ( no more tiredness). I keep going over and over things in my mind. Trying to figure things out. Like I can't for the life of me figure out why she zeroed in on the person she did. For some reason she must blame her for losing her job...but why???
Oh well I need to stop obsessing.
Have a good day all. Stay warm
Good Morning,
I am grateful this morning that we are not going to get the snow that is to hit the NE today and tomorrow. Also that I won't be flying out there in the next few days.
We met a friend of Hubert;s for supper last night. It was fun. I enjoy going out on Sunday evening for supper. We don't do it very often.
Today is back to work. I cannot believe it is the last week of january already.
What is happening in your world?
Hugs,
Hi there! I'll be in Chicago from February 13th I fly in at 1230. And I fly out on the 17th. Then I'm Flying Back on March 6th for I think 12 days. A Grammy has priorities!!! But we may be able to get some time in for a getogethet. I'm renting a car this time. My daughters car is not running well and I'm afraid to drive it far. Even though its still my car!! I need to get it fixed for her!
Anyway I'm doing better from being in the hospital last week!

Good Morning,
It is so pretty out. The snow is falling in big flakes. Hopefully it doesn't stay around. I am staying in today, doing some small stuff that needs to get done. Plus, some Netflix time.
I like sushi. It is not all raw fish. They also use smoked fish and veggies.
Cottage cheese for breakfast this morning, then a pork lion for dinner.
Hugs.
Hi Peeps,
I was up early making hummus and doing laundry. I have a church meeting early then church service and afterwards a get together with my 12-step-study sisters. That's why I made the hummus....
What do they say about the best made plans? So no steak yesterday, but my husband finally talked me into going for sushi. I have resisted this for years. I was shocked that i really really liked it. How do they make raw fish not taste like raw fish? Also, how do they make it taste like nothing you have ever tasted before but enjoy? I guess this old dog can learn some new tricks after all. Does anyone else eat sushi?
I recorded the Bulls games so I will watch later this afternoon. Other than that the only other plan I have is a pot of chili later.
I will wait til Connie is back before I make our next meeting date. Carla when will you be in town?
Hugs my dear ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sharon
Hello Everyone!
Just hanging around this weekend, catching up on a couple of projects, relaxing and fighting a cold. Besides that I am being entertained by a group of wild cats. Nibbles and Smudge are the funniest cats. They like to rile everyone up and get the party going. Then all heck breaks out and it is a free for all. The antics are amazing!
Nibbles is always keeping us guessing. We took Fluffer to the groomers the other day and Nibbles reaction was hilarious. The last time that Fluffer went to the groomer we thought that MAYBE Nibbles had unzipped the carrier and sprung Fluffer while we Rick was waiting to leave. But then we thought -- no that is just our imagination, it wasn't zipped all the way. Well, yes, Nibbles did hep him escape because this time we had secured the zipper so Nibbles started to try to rip the side of the carrier meshing with his claws and his teeth. If we had left him alone and given him enough time, Fluffer would have been free. So Fluffer and the carrier had to be isolated in the bathroom until it was time to go. It was little brother to the rescue again! Rick and I were speachless!
At least all of our "children" get along and stick up for one another. I never realized just how well bonded they were! We are fortunate, they all play well together and seem to love each other. Buffy right now is in love with Claude and follows him everywhere. It is so cute!
Work is work. We are so crazy busy. I will stay over a couple of time this week. I am not going to do it every day as it is so tiring. We lost 2 people on our team this week. That means we will be even busier. People are dropping like flies. A lot of us don't think we are going to be around much longer but no one knows for sure. I feel too old to go job hunting so am sticking it out. Time will tell. Some days I am optimistic and some days not.
I am all for a get together. It has been awhile.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Hello everyone
I am just sitting here relaxing and watching a Golden Girls marathon. Yes I love Golden Girls. It reminds me of my grandma. We would always watch that together...she loved that show...she would laugh. Oh sometimes I really miss her. Damn that woman for not living forever!!!!
Did I ever tell you a funny story about me and Amanda. This was years ago....Amanda was in 7th or 8th grade. We were at a Kmart. There was this lady shopping there that looked just like my grandma. Amanda and I followed her around the store for about 15 minutes just talking about how much she looked like my grandma. Hahahaha....can you imagine. Stalking some poor old lady because we couldn't get over how much she looked like her!!! We will talk about that once in awhile and laugh at how funny we were.
OK...I'm done reminiscing.
Today I have laundry to do and some shopping to do. We are going out for drinks today. Greg mentioned he had a taste for a margarita and I said well I would love to have a pina colada. So that's what we are going to do!!!!
Oh and Greg is teasing me...he just bought me my Valentines gift. He's taking me some where I wanted to go. For the life of me I can't imagine what it is??? I am trying to think where I said I wanted to go or do and I am blanking. So now I have to wait!!! DARN!!!
Yes...I would love a get together!!! It would be nice to see everyone again.
Well time to go...have a relaxing day all
She recommended few. I actually bought a couple she mentioned. I can't think of the names and they are packed away in storage...of course. Ugh
Hi Sharon and everyone.
Sharon, pick a date, place and time, and we will be there. And yes, it is nice to have you back. We missed you.
The skies are mostly blue, the sun is out, what could be better? Oh yeah, about 40' warmer. The only bad thing is they are saying snow/sleet for later. But I will take the blue skis over gray ones anytime.
Laundry and working on puzzel for me today. Chicken for dinner.
Have a great day ,
Just saw Connie is in Panama. Does anyone recall the name of that book, Connie recommended? If not I will try this post again next week........
