Happy Saturday,

Well we made it through another winter. Now at least, if we do get snow, it won't last as long.

I at least now feel like myself. I am still a bit tired, but I feel like I can get things done.

No plans for today, except getting things ready for celebrating Hubert's 71st birthday tomorrow with the girls. We will be having our corn beef and cabbage dinner.

What is everyone up to?

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

Today we are having one of Greg's best friends over for dinner.  After over 20 years of marriage his wife has filed for divorce.  I guess she wants to date others.  He is having a hard time adjusting to life alone.  We are trying to make sure he knows he's not alone.  That we are there for him.  I feel so bad for him...he is such a nice guy.  And as far as his wife goes...well she is in for a big disappointment.  I have been out there dating.  There are slim pickings.

When we bought a washer and dryer there were really fancy ones that cost $1000 or more.  He asked me how important a this was to me and I said, not at all.  I hate doing laundry.  So we got a bottom of the line Kenmore.  LOL...I'd rather spend my money on something I enjoy.

Well I have a house to clean and a meal to plan before our guest arrives.  So I got to go.

Have a great Saturday

Happy Saturday,

we are heading to Bloomington later this afternoon. But first, things to do.

We need to clean out the laundry room this morning, in order to have a new one delivered on Tuesday.mine is close to 20 years old, and is starting to leak oil. Hubert decided a new one, instead of fixing the old one. Also need to pick up Morgan's room. Her parents are spending the night next Saturday.

so, a busy start to Saturday.

Be sure to put your clocks ahead tonight.

Hugs,

Lisa

This is getting old!

Have a great day,

Hello everyone

I enjoyed the warm day yesterday.  I had the patio door wide open to air out the house.  Of course I probably shouldn't do that...lets all of the allergens in that I am allergic to...but it's so nice to get some fresh air.

I got my contacts in with a little coaxing.  Not so bad.  I always can get the left eye in with no problems and the right eye take a little more work.  All and all though it took me about 20 minutes.  No redness or irritation.  So far so good.

I am making my turkey burgers for dinner.  Greg grilled them last time and they weren't as good...they got dry.  So this time I am making them.  They come out juicier.

Lisa- I'm glad you are feeling better everyday.  This sickness really kicked your butt.  Seemed to linger awhile.

Well time to get back to work...see ya later

It's good to know I'm not the only one that has/had trouble in the beginning.  I almost like I wasn't meant for contacts.  Which would make me so sad.  I will stick with it and hopefully I will be a pro in no time.

Hi Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Glad you got your eyes fixed up.  I stinks not being able to see properly.  I had a heck of a time learning how to put my contacts in.  I could do it in the Dr.'s office, but I was hopeless at home.  It turns out, I was not looking into the mirror when inserting them.  I guess I was watching my finger.  Now, I watch the mirror and am fine.  As for taking them out, it is a bit of a learning curve, but at the end of the day, sometimes I need a few drops to wet them and loosen them.  That seems to help.  I LOVE my contacts sine I HATE wearing glasses.  I could never get into the habit.  I could see the reflection of my eyes in the glass and it drove me nuts.  I wear my glasses morning and at night for the short time between bed and waking.

I know that Liv is having fun and spreading her wings.  Last night, she went to a painting class thing with her friend's mom and friends.  She has been posting some really great pictures of her hiking adventures.

I had to get into the lab this morning for my yearly check up and when I got there she only had 3 tubes waiting.  There were at least 12 tests ordered, so I asked and it turns out that only 4 test were ordered.  So, back to the lab after work to be poked again.  Oh well.

That's about it for me.

What is everyone else up to today?

Tell someone that you love them!

Hello everyone

I did actually get my eye exam on Saturday.  I opted for both glasses and contacts.  I was there practicing getting the contacts in and out.  I got them in fairly easy but had a heck of a time getting them out.  To the point my left eye was really sore from poking at it so much.  I decided to let it rest a few days before I try to put them in again.  My eyes were so red and blood shot...not to mention sore from poking at them.

I will try again tomorrow.  I think I gave them more than enough time to rest.  I was also worried that spending all that time with my fingers in my eyes I was going to end up giving myself an infection.  So I wanted to wait and see if anything developed.  Nothing.

The short few hours I had the contacts in it was so nice to be able to read things and not have to put my glasses on first.

Today, because of the nice weather Greg is going to BBQ some sausages.

I have been really good about my eating lately.  I hope my weight shows it.  Last week I lost 3 lbs.  Hopefully I will lose some more this week.

Well back to work.  Have a good day all
