Hi & good morning everyone,

How's everyone doing?

T.G.I.F.. Today I feel somewhat better. Looks like the antibiotics is working for me and getting rest is helping too.

Not sure what to do for today, I guess I'll play it by ear for today. I hear that we're going to get temps. near the 40's for this weekend, I hope so. The Chicago Blackhawks have a game today and I hope they end their two game losing streak, Let's Go Hawks!

Over the weekend I'll see my aunt. Looking forward in seeing her. Not sure what we'll be doing when I see her besides going grocery shopping.

What's going in part of your world for today and the weekend?

Have a great day everyone.

Hi friends

After being in Panama with 95 degrees and high humidity I'm glad for the cold. It's easier to get warm than to get cool! It's been hectic at the store trying to get stuff done since we leave again Sunday for Australia and New Zealand. We will never again plan two trips so close together! LOL! Of course we didn't know about the store when we booked the trips. Kelly is doing a great job though and we leave everything in good hands.

Hope you all are well and stay well.

Good day everyone,

I'm glad the sun is out today. I've been bumming around my apartment for the last few day now (almost a week) due to a sinus infection & a cold. I think it has to do with the weather between Chicago weather & Arizona weather and the airplane ride to & from Arizona trip. Since yesterday I'm on antibiotics for 5 days. I hope I feel better soon. I have another sleep study test on Feb. 17th/18th. Also I might be out of town again from Feb. 10th, 11th, & 12th to visit family out in Byron, IL..

I think there's talk about rain or mix for Feb. 8th, 10th, & 11th. I hope not. I wish Spring would get here already. Don't get me wrong, but I think that "Old Man Winter" is being an @$$ right now. Old Man Winter & Mother Nature needs to work together and give us a break long enough to clean up from all this snow that we have right now.

Since I'm now feeling that goo the last few days I've been doing some reading hear and there in a book that I barrowed from the Library about a week or so ago (after I got back from m trip in Arizona).

Also I've been doing some things around my apartment a little hear & there from not being to tired from being sick.

I better get going now, getting sleepy.

Have a great day everyone.

The sun is shining bright, but it is cold out there. I have no plans of leaving my house today. Haven't decided what I am eating for dinner either.

I left work early yesterday, the roads weren't to bad. I did have to slow down when i left the interstate. As usual, Rt 18 wasn't plowed yet.

Today I am doing housework, and working on a couple of projects. Tomorrow, I will be running errands.

Have a great productive day,

Huggers,

Lisa

Evening Everyone

Well this was an eventful day!  I get to work and open my email and find out we are now in the process of being bought out by Staples.  We have not even finished our merger with Office Depot.  My first reaction was  NOOOOOOOOOOO!  This merger has had its bumps and some very unhappy customers.  I cant wait to start another one!????    It is not final yet but if it is approved by the FTC it will happen at the end of the year.  Maybe we will be through with our first merger by then.

Sharon, I have to laugh at your tool borrowing story.  My neighbors think the same thing of my garage.  I often go to get something and it is not there.  Then I have to start asking around to track it down.  We dont have to lock doors in our town so everyone helps themselves.  One of my neighbors has my ladder more often than I do but I always know where it is.    I really dont mind and nothing has ever been permanently lost or broken.  I have been very fortunate.  I have wonderful neighbors.  And I dont hesitate to ask them for help if I need something done that is beyond my capabilities.

I got my c pap machine yesterday and I had the best night of sleep that I have had in a long time!  I woke up so refreshed this morning!  I is amazing how much they help.

I was glad that the snow was not as bad as predicted today.  Still a little icy out there but we only got a couple of inches.  Early this morning it was coming down pretty hard and I thought we might be adding a significant amount to the pile on the ground.

Everyone have a great day tomorrow.

i'll have to put "sharon" on it, because if it says "g", everyone will think it's theirs as well. As i type this, I see my outdoor fireplace sitting in my next door neighbors yard and just smile. He borrowed that 2 years ago! My husband is the kindest most generous person I know........ Everyone around us has our garage door code and just come in and get whatever they want........Love my hubby's big heart. Blessings.

Sharon, if you do get a new one, paint your name on it with the phase "RETURN TO OWNER" written on it.  Nothing is worst then things walking away.

Hi Lisa and Friends,

I am hearing we are going to have snow again all day starting by mid morning. I will try to get to the gym by 8a so I can knock my work out-out, then I will be busy today doing this and that. I have a meeting tonight in Bolingbrook, but if the weather is bad......I'll have to play that one by ear.

I read an article yesterday that the best way to lose weight is to start with one protein based meal then after a week make it 2 meals and then after another week add the last meal. This method helps our bodies adjust to eating less junk or whatever it is we are trying to rid our bodies of. It is supposed to be a more gentle process and produces better long term results. It also relieves sugar withdrawals in a more gentle way. Has anyone tried this? I have always been a cold turkey kind of girl. I tend to stay on track after going thru all the withdrawals, reminding myself how awful it was and knowing I do not want to mess up that process. But obviously that hasnt been 100 successful for me.

Lisa we live in the burbs and it was hard getting out of our drive ways after the city pushed all the snow to the side of the streets blocking people partially in. We have a 3 car driveway but because of the snow trucks we have only one lane to get in and out of our driveway. Last year a neighbor borrowed our snow blower and we never got it back. My husband loans out things and our next door neightbor covets them :) Anyway, we never saw the snow blower again, but we didnt care because our neighbor snow blowed our driveway and front whenever it snowed. Well, we found out the snow blower died somehow and now we have to shovel but because G has hi blood pressure i wont let him. I would have bought another snow blower at the end of the season last year, but because the season was so fierce, only big oversized ones were left. Then we forgot about it until now. I guess we have to go out this weekend and get one. Ugh!

Everyone, please be safe. and Enjoy this day the Lord has made.

Hugs,

Sharon

Happy Hump Day,

They are calling for more snow today, 1 to 4 inches. I am driving over to LaSalle today for work, but, if it  really starts, I will leave early. Interstate part of the way, North /south, then East/ West 2 lane the rest. Of course, it is all rural.

Crystal, you just enjoy the fact that Gregg will take you to work on bad days. Hubert drove me on Monday.

We had 2 or 3 call in on Monday.  They live in the country and they couldn't get out of their drives.

What is going on in your world?

Have a great productive day.

Hello everyone

I have been so busy at work.  I feel like everyone has been throwing work at me right and left....and I can't work overtime so I have to some how fit it all in to 40 hours.  I feel like there have been plenty of time I could have worked an extra 1 or 2 hours.

I don't live in Joliet anymore but I work in Joliet and the roads are terrible here.  But I didn't have to drive so I'm good.  Greg took me into work again today.  I'm spoiled.

Today after work I have a bunch of things I have to pick up at the grocery store.  That's it for me.

Well have a good day all
