Hello everyone
I have been so busy at work now. That really mean ex boss of mine is finally leaving!!! She gave her 2 week notice. Well they gave me some of her duties and I have been training. I haven't heard anything about a raise, although I am taking on more work and the work is at a higher level than I am currently at. I told Greg that if I don't automatically get a raise when she leaves I am going to wait a few months after I prove myself and tell my boss I think I deserve a raise. We shall see how that goes.
I am still battling with my contacts. I am not going to daily wear. Meaning I wear them one day and throw them out. It was explained to me that people that have low tolerance to the monthly and weekly usually do well with the daily. Because they are much thinner. I am really hoping!!!
I got home today and scrubbed my bathrooms from floor to ceiling. I get on the floor and hand scrub the floor and baseboards. I wanted to get that over with. One less thing to do this weekend.
Tomorrow we are up early to workout. Then later we are going to Goodwill, then out to eat and to the movies. A full day for us.
I can't wait till warms up a bit more so I can get out and start fixing up the yard. I have some plans for the garden.

No tricks, it is April 1. Winter is officially over, but we still can get some nasty (read snow and ice) weather. Our grass is greening up, and a few brave flowers are trying to show their pretty faces. Hopefully this weekend I can start cleaning up the garden.
No plans for us this weekend. I am just going to try and do some purging in my closet and also the pantry. Plus a few other things.

Good Morning on this dark Thursday.
It is raining and dark in LaSalle County. I am glad that I am planning on staying in today. The house wants some attention.
I am starting my yearly cleanup of drawers and cabinets. I did 2 cabinets (kitchen) yesterday, and will continue until everyone is ready for summer. I think today, since Morgan is still with me, I will tackle the file cabinet in the office. We will see, we will see.
I took off yesterday to take Morgan shopping. We got alot done, both for her and me. We also met my Annette for lunch in Geneva, close to her workplace, at the Country House.
We have some appointments tomorrow and the new dryer will be delivered. Finally!

It sounds like both of you had a productive weekend. We had the kids here Sunday for Hubert's birthday. Morgan decided to stay. I think I will take off tomorrow ( Wed) to take her shopping.

UPDATE-
I am getting a new brand of contacts. I guess I just had to be very persistent. Of course I disagree with that. These are my eyes if I wasn't acting as my own advocate I would be stuck with contacts that aren't right for my eyes. I think this eye doctor should be more proactive.
Hello everyone
I have short week this week. I'm off Good Friday...woohoo!!!
Yesterday was such a long day. We went to church but we run the audio and the visual so we had to be there for rehearsal. So we there at 8am. We got out at 11am. We killed some time in the church parking lot. Greg was teaching me stick shift. We had some where to go but it was too late to go home but too early to leave.
We went to Greg's friend's house to help him out. He is going through a pretty nasty divorce. He needed help getting things situated at home. He is partially disabled and can't get around very well. His wife trashed the place when she moved out. I mean it was a wreck. I don't understand why you would do that??? I have had guys treat me pretty bad and I never act like this when we split up. And this guy is so broken up about the ending of his marriage I feel really bad for him. We didn't get home till almost 10pm.
Dawn- I tried a chili recipe not to long ago that turned out pretty good. I thought it sounded unusual because it had beef and Italian sausage and bacon in it...also a can of beer (I guess O'douls would work for you). Only thing I would have changed about the recipe next time around is that it needed more spices. It was a little too bland for my taste.
I put a call into the eye doctor and basically demanded a new brand of contacts. I have these in right now and they are bothering my something awful. If I wasn't so worried about cleanliness I would just take them out right now. But there is no way...this place is not clean enough. I don't want to get an eye infection.

Good first Monday of Spring, 2016!
I had a nice weekend. Friday night, I went and hung out with a bunch of women at my sponsor's house that I haven't seen in a while. I need to spend more time with them as they make me feel loved. They talked me into entering into the Chili Cook Off the next day at the club. It was very last minute so I made white (green) chicken chili and put a stuffed chick on the table and called it, "Chuck the Chicken's famous Chili". I tied for 3rd (only out of seven) but it was fun.
Yesterday, Todd and I saw, "10 Cloverfield Lane" and went out for supper. The movie was very good and thought/conversation provoking. As we all know....getting Todd into a conversation takes some work. So, a good time all in all.
Today, I am back at work. The boss is out and I am holding down the fort the first day of Spring Break. That means that our second site is open for all the school age kids, which make staffing a challenge.

I know how you feel. I hope the script fixes it.
I went for my yearly physical and took a list of issues. That bought me appointments with 4-5 specialists, maybe more. I've seen one and been told that I have arthritis in the facetts of my lower spine along with degenerating disks. I have a new drug that "might" help with the pain, if I can tolerate it. Since I can't take NSAIDS, this anti-seizure medication (also used for nerve pain) might help. I am busy researching other possibilities.
My blood work is completely out of whack. My Ferritin is up to 585 (200 is high normal) but the cell's size indicates anemia. My liver enzymes are back up to over three times the normal. So, two specialists there, GI and Blood. I have been having headaches (nuerologist) and have a spot on the skin of my breast. I feel that I should see my bariatric surgeon also. Ugg!

Hello everyone
We busied our selves running errands today. Two weeks ago I finally went and got my wedding ring sized and soldered together. I finally got it back today. Not without some drama but in the end all went well and we even got a big discount.
We went to go pick up my new glasses. And there was a problem there. I am irritated with the eye doctor. My contacts have really been bothering me. I sort of self diagnosed my self with severe dry eyes. My eyes are so irritated within hours of having them in but I stick out till the end of the work day but I am putting eye drops in every 30 minutes. When I get home I take them out right away. The lady told me when I got them if I have any problem with dry eye I should come back and they will give me a different brand to try, better for dry eyes. So I tell her I am having that issue. She goes and talks to the eye doctor and without even speaking to me and asking about the severity of my symptoms he just tells her a brand of eye drops I should be using. When I say I have been using eye drops, I am told I should use the brand the doctor suggested. I tell her I want different contacts and what brand contacts I want...that they have a high dk/t level (they are very oxygen permeable so your eyes can breathe...I have been doing my research). She says my brand is very good. I didn't even know what I had. I have Soflens. So I leave...annoyed and without new my contacts. I buy the brand eye drops suggested and they are basically the same thing I have been using when I looked at the ingredients!!!
I get home and look up my contacts they are no where near as good as the brand I asked for. I don't know if they get a kick back for pushing this brand or what??? But I want what I want or they can give me my Rx and I will order them myself!!! So I am going back and demanding a different brand of contacts. Grrrr!!!!
