PS update and PICS finally!
Hey Everyone,
Well my tight butt finally let me sit long enough to get the pics edited, loaded, titled and done...... Whew...
For those of you that don't know me I am almost done with this journey of mine.
I lost over 212 pounds and took 8 months at goal to workout and get in shape for my PS. I worked out as a bodybuilder and I can tell you without any question, it has made a HUGE difference. I weighted 118, had a body fat of 14% and added 10 lbs of muscle by the end of 6 months.
A few months ago I had my pre-op pics taken and cried at the sight of my deformed body. Pre-ops and newbies, do not let the skin issues scare you. I would live with the deformed size 4 body any day ,and the key word is LIVE. I would never go back to being the fat Kathy that couldn't even walk.
On April 14th 2006 Dr. Fenner at Evanston Hospital in Chicago did an eight hour surgery on me. I had the inner thigh lift, LBL, TT with MR, BA and BL. My second round of PS will be June 30th and I will be having my arms done, the back/bra skin removed and a lower face lift.
I was in the hospital 3 days, up the second day, walking. The pain was not bad at all. I was expecting child birth kinda pain. Never happen. Went home with 2 drains out already and never needed pain meds at home. The other drains were taken out in 3 days. Having low body fat and not needing lipo was a blessing!!!!
I look at the before pics and the 3 week ones and I am just blown away. It is like I am finally saying good bye to the old fat Kathy. I really am becoming the new slim, active, loving life person that I always was but trapped under 200 pounds plus of fat.
If you would like to see my pics go to picturetrail.com (don't forget the www) and login as ksitter and the password is skinny.
There is one folder I have password protected. It's OR pictures and very, very, very graphic. I find them astounding, but they are not for everyone. Email me if you want to see them.
I hope viewing these pics will inspire you to wait to reach goal and work your butt off getting there. I think you will agree it does make a difference. And give you hope that no matter how big you are today, we can be pretty, slim and damn flat as a pancake in the old abs too!!!!!
I will be posting on the PS board with more details about the surgery and the 3 weeks since.
Enjoy!!!
Take care,
Kathy
wow so much does it cost for all that work?? You look great but man I am scared now because I know I can't afford ps. WOW is there any way to help from getting so loose if you know what I mean? I was thinking maybe lots of lotion and a lipo in a box the whole time post op? I just thought that might help keep the elasticity? I know I am crazy but just let me know what you think. I still would rather be healthy.
congrats
dee
Hi Dee,
Yes, please don't let the skin scare you. Healthy and looking great using the Lipo In A Box is a better way to live than being 330 and not being able to walk.
If you are older and have over 100 pounds to lose I am afraid there isn't anything you can do to prevent the excess skin. Please keep in mind I am almost 50, lost over 200 pounds and the skin is really bad on me as I had a body fat of 14%.
Please do workout as that helps all the way around. I had bloody open sores and my insurance company paid for most of my surgery. We took out a second on the house and paid for the rest and my new smile.
Where there is a will there is a way. We have come so far by going through our WLS and losing the weight we can get through the PS too.
Thanks Dee for the good wishes and let me know if I can help you in any way.
Take care,
Kathy
Congratulations!!! Your pictures are amazing! And I want your dog!
I just emailed Dr. Fenner's office to set up a consult earlier today!
I was hoping to find someone here that had ps w Dr. Fenner.
Can you tell me what you had done? I'm not too sure on some of the initials you used.
I'm looking to get a LBL, breast lift/implants?, thighs, butt, lipo basically everything from my neck to my knees except my arms. lol
I'm going to check your profile, see if you have your experience detailed, I'd like to see what the process is.
My main questions are whats the cost approx. How long are you out of comission, and how long do you have to wait to have surgery if you're paying out of pocket.
Congrats again!! Amazing job!
