has anyone had the dou switches

I'm having a dou switches done and want to know if anyone had it done and can tell me how you are doing ?

I am not sure I understand your question. What is dou switches? Do you mean Duodenal Switch? If this is what you mean there is a forum for it under "Forums". I am not sure if there are many people that frequent the IL board have had it.

My mother-in-law and I both had the duodenal switch performed on October 13th by Dr Alverdy at Univ of Chicago. All went well. I went in at 8am and woke up in my room about 2. The pain was minimal. Both our surgeries were done laproscopically. We came home on Sunday and even stopped at the mall on the way. Since October I have gone from 350lbs to 255lbs. I was a size 28 pants/30-32 top/48dd bra. Today I have on size 1x pants and a 2x sweater. It is the best thing I could have done. I chose the DS over the RNY because I've seen sooo many of my friends suffer through dumping episodes that looked worse than all 4 of my labor and deliveries.
