Approved today and now terrified

I got my approval letter today. On march 30, I was denied. I called and spoke with the medical review manager at the ins. co. and pointed out a few errors and asked for clarifications. My surgeon's office called too and said it looked like I needed another 6months of diet and then they still might not approve. However. God is Good and today an approval came. I was THRILLED and then immediately terrified. I thought I was going to self pay Lapband because I couldn't afford RNY, but now I don't know if RNY that I am approved for is right or not. I see advantages to both surgeries. I am so confused. Any advice? Kim M.

CONGRATULATIONS on being approved!!!!!! I am going for the RNY myself, but as I am still waiting to hear on my appeal, I can't give advice on which surgery is best for you. Talk with your surgeon, pray, and then you will come to an informed decision. It is always good to see another person get the chance for a better life! I wish you and your family a Happy Easter!
