Hi All, Anyone know of a place to purchase the yummy syrups near Evanston or Chicago - especially a good price? Thanks and take care, Angela

I'm not sure if I am going to be of any help....but, I think I saw them at the Super Walmart in the coffee asile. I am going to check today. I know I saw s/f syrups there all in a row, and I believe they were the Davinci ones. Hope this helps. SassyLu

I ended up ordering my on line directly from them. Do you have any good recipes? I am looking for some if you do . . . Nancy

You can get them at Low Carb Chicago. Here is their web site. http://www.lowcarbchicago.com/Products.htm They are in Vernon Hills, west of the toll way I-294 off of Rt 60. I found them in the list under syrups, jams and spreads. The shopping center they are in is on the SE corner of Rt 60 and Milwaukee Ave, there is a traffic signal on this corner. Westfield Mall (formerly Vernon Hills Mall) is on the NW corner of this intersection. Great store, clean, lots of products and friendly staff. They are a little pricey at this store but that is expected for a specialty store. Also look in Jewel, Dominicks & Meijer stores in the diet or specialty aisles. The new layout of the Jewel stores now has a low carb food section, at least at my Jewel in Wood Dale it does.

I don't know about Evanston, but I am in Carpentersville, and Woodmans has a ton of them in many flavors, around $5 a big bottle. Take 90 west, exit Randall road & go north 3-4 miles and it is about a mile past 72 on the Left side of the road. It is am amazing store!!! You should go just to check out the cheese dept. they have more SF and organic type stuff than any store I have seen. It is HUGE! the selection is amazing. and I save so much money there over Jewel or Dominicks, and on the rare occcasions I go to the others I am always so dissapointed in the selections now. Example I stopped in Jewel one day and they had grape tomatoes (regular, not organic)for $4 a small carton. I passed on them at that price. went to woodmans, they were under $2, for organic. Bagged salad is $1 less, the cottage cheese I like is $1 less, yogurt is 15 cents less. Much of their organic produce is priced under the other stores regular and thier regular non organic stuff is unbeleivably cheaper. It all adds up. good luck! val
