Murphysboro Support Group
Well not quite that fabulous. I've only lost 20 lbs, but I feel pretty good and I haven't had any problems, except not losing anything this week. I never thought that 3 weeks after surgery I would hit a stall already, but I guess it is normal. At least I hope it is and I start to lose again. Ah, the joy of thinking that the surgery isn't going to work. My husband keeps saying that they didn't do the surgery right or something. They just cut me open and closed me back up. I'm trying to be patient and remind my self that my surgeon said that for my pre-op weight an average weight loss for the first 6 weeks is 15-25 lbs, so I'm already ahead of schedule as long as the stall doesn't last much longer.
Have you talked to Lora, how is she?
hey! I'm here. I'm doing pretty good. I've been really busy for the last several months. I started back to work in Oct( the reason I NEVER get to the support group meetings) and this past week I started working at MHC. So I"ll be working there part time and out at the nursing home part time.
I'm down about 140 lbs or so.. its been slow, I'm having problems keeping on track but have joined a gym and been trying to get into the swing of that. Only time I'm able to go is after work and most nights I dont get off until 12 - 1 am.. so it makes it kind of hard. But I'm making it.
Chandra- congrats on the weight loss... that is AMAZING. Cant wait to see some new pics of you. I bet you look fabulous!!
Amy- 3 weeks out and down 20 lbs.. that is awesome. Everyone hits a stall.. its just your body readjusting to the changes its went through. It'll pick back up in a few days.... I thought the same thing at that point. I thought I had went through the surgery for nothing. That maybe Dr. O didnt do what he was supposed to do. Thats just our mind playing games with us.
Anyhow, if you ever want to talk. you are more than welcome to reach me on yahoo or msn.. I'm lora_1994 on both of them.
Take care and talk to ya soon!
~ Lora
