appt with dr. oliphant at carle clinic

i have and appt. with dr. oliphant at carle clinic march 20th. can anyone tell me what to expect? i have my insurance approval and have done my 6 month diet preps. ( diet, psych eval, and nutrionist.) can anyone tell me how long i will have to wait for a surgery date if dr. agrees?

You will love Dr. O he is blunt and doesnt beat around any bushes in telling you what to do. When I first went to him he told me about a month but I had to have another surgery before I could have the WLS. He just did mine on the 28 of Feb. He is a very nice guy. I do know when I talked to him about three weeks ago about doing my lap instead of open he said the waiting list for lap was about a year out. And my open was scheduled. He also told me the only difference between lap and open was open you have one large 6 to 7 inch cut and the lap you have 6 one inch cuts. I had the open rather then reschedule a year out, So far I am healing fine. have lost 10 pds in a week and two days. Just be yourself. You will like dr. o he is a nice man. love marie
