Self Pay Cost and Good Docs?

Do we have any self pay people out there who could give me an approx. cost of lap rny? Also any doctors or places you reccommend. KimM.

I am hogging these posts tonight... HEHE. I wasn't self pay, but I would recommend calling Mercy Bariatric in Harvard, Dr. LaDonna Bryan. They are awesome, and you can find out anything you would like to know well ahead of time. They also are a big help if you have insurance of any kind and need help pushing for the surgery. Good Luck. Hi Kim, I was self pay and absolutely LOVE my surgeon and his team. They were very supportive of self pay and made sure that I was not charged one penny more than necessary. I went in very healthy and was out in 36 hours. The hospital bill was $33k, they deducted $10k for self pay. The anestheologist was $2k and the surgeons fees are discounted from his price of $13k depending on your situation. He is worth every penny. Evanston NW Hospital was wonderful, I was never uncomfortable and felt it was a very professional environment. All rooms are private. Dr F also has very high professional degrees and is credited with a lot of the techniques/tools used in lap RNY and believes that surgery should be done lap, not open, so there are not surprises.
