HELLO ~ I had my lap rny on april 26 of 2005. Over 8 mths ago, I've lost 95-98 pds since then. I am thrilled, with all of my success. My bloodwork came back great, however, I still have no hunger, sometimes, once a month usually, I have cravings, but no hunger. I have to force myself to eat, and remind myself, *what have you ate today?* is always the big question? And I have to literally think about it!! Eating food now, is just not enjoyable, it is a job!! At my 6mth anniversary, I posted about the same thing, I was told that any day now, I would start to feel hunger, well, I didnt, and still dont. I have a hard time getting my liquids in every day, and when it comes to eating, Its become a joke or a bet with my family, regarding how much I will really eat. Is there any one else who has this situation. Again, I am not complaining, I love my knew life, I just registered for school, after gradutating HS in 1985!! I am going to be a CMA, and am excited about that, would of never even thought about it 100 pounds ago, but if anyone has any suggestions or comments, please let me know. ps, I also posted this to my april 05 friends.... thanks to you all, and take care, julie martin 258/161/135

Julie I am a year out and I am the same way.. I could go all day without eating so I follow my schedule to eat ... I do believe this is normal since I know many who are the same way.. Congrats on school I went back in my late 30j's and was a much better student than I would have been at 19 ... Debby

Julie, I say if everything else is fine, count your blessings. I don't feel hunger like I used to, but I occasionally do feel it (I'm over a year out now) and there are days where I have to remind myself to eat.. if I don't, I'll go all day without eating and I'll start getting light headed and then I think.. "crap.. didn't I eat anything today??" Strange new world, that's for sure. Because we've had to re-establish our relationships with food, having NO relationship with it is as bad as having an addicted relationship to it (like we did before). Start getting in the habit of setting your menus ahead of time.. plan them out.. learn to plan them right.. that may help you create a new (good) habit of eating right, at the right times.. as you become more comfortable with your habit, you'll be able to alter it as needed when you don't feel like having what's on the menu.. or you have an unexpected meeting at lunchtime that you have to work around.. In other words, though.. don't sweat it. Some of us feel it.. some of us don't.. and it's all normal. If you were having some problem like you can't keep food down or you are passing out, then I'd say you've got an issue that needs addressing.. but you don't. Enjoy your life and don't worry about little things like this!! Stef
