get on board to say hey!

Hi there! I am SOOOOOO much a lurker. Not too much to say, I guess. I now have new insurance (BCBSIL) and hope that I have a better chance of approval this year after fighting all of last year (all the way to the Attorney General's office) with no luck. I am now having the health problems that go along with morbid obesity that may have been prevented if the surgery had been approved 6 mos or so ago. I went been to the ER last month thinking I was having a heart attack, only to be told it was bronchitis (no coughing?). I am still having shortness of breath and pain down my left arm, but the cardiogram says my heart is fine. It's probably from all of the extra weight. While doing a CAT scan for the heart/lung thing in the ER, they found some nodules on my Thyroid and now my pcp is going crazy doing all of the tests to see what is up with that. I have had an MRI, and Ultrasound and will be having the radiation uptake scan next week. Besides that, I am just hoping for relief within this new year so that I can be healthy once again. I continue to lurk and watch the great progress so many of you are having. Keep up the great work, it give people like me hope for a better life. Cheers! Dawn

I am so glad to hear from so many of you. I am happy to hear how everyone is doing, new and old and lurkers. I found this site when i was about 4 months out and I wish I had found it sooner. I have learned so much and I continue to learn. Let's make a vow to keep in touch. Every journey is important and we can learn so much from each other.

Hi all! just over 2 months out and down 57 pounds at 280 (my last presurgery weigh in was 337). Lurk a lot. Glad to see everyone. This board has been very quiet lately! Illini
