I really needed to hear from you all it helps to have people who know others are out there. I havent talked to my surgeon or seen him since the surgery itself I have kept in contact with the nurses, I drink fluids all day long I really dont have any trouble with liquids, I didnt know that I was suppossed to be taking my protein shakes still I thought that was just at the beginning of the recovery to get the extra protein, I try to eat a couple eggs for breakfast but usually cant, then I have soup for supper almost every night because its easier and I can keep it down, I can eat a whole can of soup with know problems I never really feel full, just sick, I know my diet is all off, but when I try and add more to my diet I throw up! I have to admit I rarley exercise, but I do walk more like at stores instead of being let off at the door I walk and I have noticed that I can walk alot faster, but It is still hard not to compare my weight loss to others I want to know what the average is for every one and maybe what others are eating, I started at 294 at wls and Im 248 now thanks all Lisa michelle

Well Lisa get your protien intake quick.. this will help when the hair loss starts.. and it will.. My sugeon says I can use protien suppliments so I drink vanilla protien powder mixed in my morning coffee.. that adds 20 grams a day right there.. I usually have another one when I get home from work.. I add the sugar free french vanilla carnation creamer to it too and it tastes yummy... GNC carrys Isopure protien they are like fruit drinks they have like 40 grams.. So 1# get that protien in since you are having issues with food get it with the drinks. beware of HI protien suppliments our body can only absorb 20-30 grams at a time so if your taking something with 50 your not getting the full benefit of that. Also this isnt necessarily what is going on but I know someone who had surgery and got very fearfull about what he was eating and threw up every single time he ate.. he was in fear of not losing or gaining his weight back.. this is very real for some of us and after you see your doctor to rule out a physical reason its something to think about. Some other things to try for protien, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, nuts, beef jerky etc. They all are high in protien.. EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have to exercise surgery isnt a magic pill you have to do your part and that includes getting out there and moving!!! go out and take a walk every day then build up.. you will see a difference!!! Hang in there!! Debby
