Does anyone know if illinois medicaid covers the cost of lap band surgery in illinois and if any doctors accecpt it? thanks for your help

there is a doctor in maywood who does i would look under surgons in chicago area i can't rember his name....

Dr. Shayani in maywood at loyola medical center. his number is 708-327-2899.medicaid never turned down a lap band patient there.

yep thats him, I hear he is really good, takes awhile to get all your pre-op work done though,my friend is going to him & she has medicaid

You can try the U of C Cllinic of Obesity that have an excellent program and they accept medicaid. I was approved in about 2 1/2 weeks. June the program coordinator is on her job.

yes medicaid pays for everything you have to be low income and apply for it through the state.
