6mo wait per.for bcbs HMO Rush MC

This is great. Waiting for approval from Rush for RNY. The IPA denies my claim due to not being in their plan for 6 mo. Clinically super obese, 4 co morbids, all paperwork is in. Letters of med necc. As I recall it is a Fed law for HMO NOT to place a 6mo. pre existing wait period in plan. But this has been done for all bariatric patients. Any comments or advice. This is why I do not like HMO's. Only six months, gurl your lucky I had to wait 1 year. I saw a nutritionist for a year lost 30 pounds gained it all back plus ten. I have the HMO, I too was supermorbidly obese, I weighed 376 I now wiegh 289 five months after surgery . There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You will be approved, just take this time to continue your research into the surgery and to get your mind right becasue after surger that head hunger is a B*&^h. Your time is coming!
