Sears owns K Marts

Yesterday when I was checking out at K Mart the cashier asked me if I wanted to open a sears charge account. I thought she had gone nuts! I asked her if she had worked for Sears? No she said they were required to ask people that cause Sears owns K Mart. Then I saw advertising about this. Guess the 2 of them went together so neither has to go under. I do not go to either very often, I was close to KMart and needed a few cleaning supplies. Ok thats all I know! See ya lighter! Cyndi

Actually, K-Mart bought Sears in November for 2004, and the company is now officially Sears Holdings. Most of the stores have retained their own name, but a few have changed to Sear Essentials. www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/kmart_sears.html Terry
