medicaid?

Do you have to get approval from medicaid/medicare? I have my psych eval on Nov. 18. What do I have to do after that? I dont know why they cant schedule everything at the same time so I can get this over with instead of one thing at a time.

I know what you mean g.f....I have been waiting to see what test he needs so I can either do them here and have them faxed or go see him and do them there....just hope they schedule them all within a 2 or 3 days intervals...I hate waiting....:-/ I just want him *the doctor* to write me back....and let me know something...

Ops! and I have medicaid also.....

ah for pete sakes , wish this site had a edit button lol....anyways...I still havent heard if I got approved or not. heck I dont even know what is going on with the process....I need to call I guess and get some straight answers.....What is your doctors name and location ? Mine is in Chicago....wish I could find one closer but I would travel around the world if I have to to get this surgery.....

my doc is in champaign, ill. Dr. oliphant. He is okay but his nurse is standoffish. If you know what i mean.

I tried to make an appt. w/Dr.Oliphant and he wasnt taking medicaid patients...said they were like 15 mo's out .....Well if it was same nurse she prolly just told me that so I wouldnt bug them anymore..lol....I think I called him few times and wrote him too....He would have been a lot closer to me.But,Dr.Vitello will do just fine....least he does write me and also he takes direct calls...he seems to be a sweetie....

Hello I too have Medicare and Medcaid I didnt have to have prio approval all they needed was a note from the Dr stating that is was necessary and all the tests. That is what my Dr did I am sure they are somewhat alike.. Good Luck hun...
