I Can't Remember the Pre-Op Fast! Help Me Please!!!

I have a surgery date of November 9, 2005. I've been trying to reach the CORI Office to get the instructions for my Pre-Op Fasting. We seem to be playing telephone tag, but in the meantime the clock is ticking. I haven't seen them for 1 1/2 weeks. They called me and told me what my surgery date was. I got so excited that I forgot to ask them about the fast. Does anybody know what, and when I'm suppose to eat (or not eat). All I remember is Sugar Free Popsiclesand Chicken Broth. And I think something about an enema (Oh God)!! Oh,...and every single time the phone rings, its those pesty telemarketers. I can't take anymore:I'm suppose to be on a NO CALL LIST. I don't want to hear anything else about Privacy Manager for my credit report, or signing up for a Disney Credit Cards!! Skip Mickey Mouse! I'm just tired of 8 am phone calls about stupid junk! I just want to hear from the WLS Staff about my cleansing instructions. I'm too fat to be trying to dive over chairs, and tables to answer a sale pitch!! I ran into the wall trying to manuver my big butt around the coffee table while trying to get to the phone! Stupid telemarketers,!!!! Ok, ok, I'm through venting. I think I'm gonna go to bed. What a day!!!!

Hi Jacqueline, I'm having surgery the same day with the same surgeon THe Preop diet in my binder they gave me is as follows: Monday November 7 go on a full liquid diet (no alcohol) ex. of full liquids are puddings, very runny mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, and strained creamed soups. Also on Monday you need to start showering 2 times daily with Dial antibacterial soap, paying special attention to the abdominal area. On Tuesday November 8 you are to go on a clear liquid diet such as weak tea, SF popsicles, broth SF jello or clear juice. Also on Tuesday November 8 you are to perform a bowel prep. Drink a Fleets Phospho Soda (1 1/2 oz.) between 8am and noon the day before surgery. Mix the Fleets with 4 oz of a clear liquid, expect results within 20minutes. Nothing to eat or drink after 12 midnight the night before surgery. Hope this helps Has anyone called you with a time for your surgery yet??
