On eating that is.For the last week or so everytime I eat I get nauseated and my guts out. Now I don't know if this is do to the Flu I have or if something is wrong with my pouch.I went to my regular PCP and that is how I found out about the Flu and I told her about everything, but she saide nothing. Also because of the getting sick and not being able to keep anything down,as of this morning I have lost 5lbs.I know I am suppose to be resting right now but it is impossible right now cause the Lawn people are here and it is noiser then heck,so no sleep for me.Also I think there is a possibilty that I may be getting dehydrated,my skin is really dry and I can not get no moisture in my mouth no matter how much I drink. So does anyone have any suggestions on any of this. Please I will take all the I can get right now if it will help me to feel better!!! Why thank you ma'am I am doing wonderful, feel great, have no complaints at all. Where do I sign up to do this all over again??? You are looking good yourself, how are you doing? I see the weight is really dropping for you, how is it going? How do you feel? The boards have been kind of quiet lately, we need to to liven them up some!!! Nancy

Hi Candi I had the same problem and my surgeon put me on aciphex. It helps quite well. I ran out one time and could not get hold of my surgeon, so I went to the pharmacy and was told it was the same thing as prilosec. Might try talking to your doc about trying this. ((((((HUGS)))))) Dawn

Have someone go out and get you some Ensure so you are getting some nutrition in you. Also, what about some Pedialite? It will help with your hydration.

Try and use a sippy cup to get some fluids down. You could also just ******vous wreck over all you've gone through. How is your sodium intake? Try ice chips, and there is also a great spray you can buy at walgreens made for diabetics. The stuff is great. Ask the pharmacist for it. It even has a nice minty taste to it, and keeps your mouth moist. I am planning on bring it with me to the hospital for post op. I know you feel lousy right now, and the last thing you want to do is get up and make something for yourself. Do you have a support person who come over with some sugar free popsicles or help you out? Barb
