6 month post op appointment :-)
Just a little update..
I had my 6 month visit today with Dr. Oliphant and my nutritionist today! Things went great.. I am down to 297 lbs, which is a grand total of 103.5 lbs lost...
I am officially a member of the CENTURY CLUB .....
I still have a long ways to go, but this is the first time in 11 years I've been the 200 range ...
I'm soo happy. Dr. O said I'm doing above his expectations for being 6 months out. I have NO hernias, no problems what so ever.
AND 2 weeks ago I started back to work. I worked there 4 yrs ago for like 3 yrs and 9 months. But, I've not worked in over 4 yrs. partially due to raising my kids, and partially due to being so heavy and not being able to. The first couple days back i was sore as could be.. I used muscles I havent used in a longg time( I'm working as a CNA in a nursing home). But I can run those floors and do what I need to do and then some without hurting, being out of breath, and I only break a minimal sweat..lol
Its nice to be in the workforce again and to be losing like I am. In the last week, I've ran into people I havent seen in a few years, even months and they didnt even recognize me. (made me wonder if they meant it or were just being nice..(they knew I had the surgery. I talk to them on the phone/computer all the time.)
Congratulations on going back to work and for doing so well there also.
