Which Dr. are you using?

I used Dr. Ganta. He is now located in Crystal Lake. He is fantastic. He is mild mannter, thorough and knowledgable. He assisted with Carnie Wilson when she had her surgery. He takes the time to answer your questions.

Hi Sue, when i was originally considering lapband, i went to a seminar at UIC - the surgeon is Dr. Horgan. I went for my first appointment, got weighed, had my blood pressure taken, met a dietician there, met an intern, did NOT meet Dr. Horgan. Next, i had an appointment for a pysch eval at UIC. After 3 hours, she told me i had "food issues" (D'OH) and wasn't ready for wls and she wasn't going to recommend me for surgery until I got into therapy with her and worked through my issues. then i started reading about people having to go back for second and third surgeries after having a lapband. not for me. a friend told me about ObesityHelp. I researched surgeons, decided on one and called for an appointment. got in the same week. it's now about 6 weeks later and my surgery is a week from today. Dr. Constantine Frantzides. Look him up on the board. He is the most experienced laproscopic surgeon in illinois. he has a great staff. Evanston is a very very good hospital. Please, don't limit your surgeon search by geographic location. Find the surgeon that makes you the most comfortable and makes you feel safe. i highly recommend Dr. F. jan
