Hi AMOS IL friends:wave OMG!!! I got awesome news! I found out I am approved to get my batwings and thigh flaps removed! Looks like I'm doing them both on the same day...outpatient November 29th My PS took some pics...I had no rashes but I did have a couple of those little zit things. I have been so lucky with my insurance(BC/BS HMO IL)....... No fighting to get my RNY WLS, They paid for a TT w/ mucle repair and a breast lift, and now my arms and thighs. I wish I could/ve got a date when the kids were off school...but oh well! I'm just hoping it's not as bad as the TT in relation to pain! Hope everyone is having a great day! Tracy

Hi Tracy! That is SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have BC/BS HMO Illinois too - so I am EXTREMELY THRILLED to read your message about the batwing removal being covered!!!!! I already found out the tummy tuck and breast reduction/lift was covered, but this is just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I'm only 6 months out, but my batwings are incredibly bad. They are huge, long and floppy!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost SO MUCH weight in my upper arms - it's amazing!!! If I were to have them done on my own, do you know what the cost is? You mentioned having outpatient surgery. How long are you off work (if at all) for a batwing removal? Do you have to wait until you're at your goal weight to have the batwings done? I would dearly love to do them in the next few months actually - because I am going to the gym 7 days a week with classes and toning them -- and I don't know how much more I would have "loose" if they were done now. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!! THANKS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dayna 310/222/110 Goal (Surgeon's goal is 120)

Hi Dayna I'm not sure of the cost...my TT-B/L was $11,435.00.....I didn't have to pay a dime...no copay either I don't know what the recovery time is on that either....the TT sucked! because I had muscle repair and boy was it tight!! I feel like I'm at "goal".......I never had any numbers in mind but I feel comfortable around 136lbs. You look awsome Tracy

Hi Tracy!!!! This is the post I was looking for! I had questions regarding how long your recovery time was for the surgery. I am looking into having my batwings done first since from what I have been reading, it is done outpatient and you're only off work 3-7 days. How long were you off work? Thanks!!!!
