Missed you at the Conference
Terry -
I did not know you were going to be there or I would have looked for you.
From what I understand, I look NOTHING like I do in my picture. I need to submit a new one so that I can be recognized by people. I heard many times on Saturday night that I do not look anything like what my picture is!!
Anyways, I am sorry I missed the chance to meet you.
I too enjoyed myself. I found MOST of the speakers wonderful and others I could have slept through (no pun intended Dennis)!!
Enjoy your day,
Nancy
Darn, Nancy, I wish I would have found you, where were you sitting? I got stuck down in the front because I came in late. I ended up sitting in the first row in the center section next to the projector. I was on the aisle, right in front of the plastic surgeon (I can't remember his name) The only bad part was the drive in and back. I saw one woman I know who attends my support group at Barix in Belvidere. Maybe next time.

I was in the third row from the back on the left side if you are facing the stage. I am sorry I missed you though. I have been reading along with your journey for so long I almost feel as if I know you.
I met a few people there and they were all sweeties. I did have a couple of ladies sitting behind me that I turned and told them that they had to be quiet because they talked the entire time. It was very rude!!!
Have a good day,
Nancy
I was there too, but it was hard to recognize people. There were a couple I knew and I met some other very nice people. I enjoyed the conference but there was too much redundancy in the presentation materials...how many diagrams do we need to see of the RNY procedure! I really liked that plastic surgeon...he was hilarious! I live in Schaumburg and go to a support group at Alexian Brothers (Northwest Suburban Surgical). Are there any other support groups that you know of?
