Hello Everyone.... I am restricted to paying cash for my surgery with Dr Boe At Barix Clinics in Belvidere Illinois. Has anyone else had to pay out of pocket for the surgery? I even work at a Hospital in Wisconsin and they have a provision where they do not cover weight loss surgery AT ALL, even if medically needed. I was also wondering if anyone knows of a company that you can join month by month and get discounts on your bills. If anyone has some info for me that would be great! I am at 275lbs now and have seevere sleep apnea, HTN and joint pain and need to have this surgery downe within a year and would like to hear from anyone out there. Thanks.

Hello. Wow, they even denied cold hard cash? What is the world coming to . I also payed for my surgery. My total was 23,500.00. I had it LAP-RNY and it included 3 days in the hospital with all labs included. And the surgeons fee. I do know that OPEN-RNY is A LOT cheaper. My surgeon is Great, but who on here wouldn't say their surgeon is great? Dr. Gerald A. Cahill Little Company of Mary Hospital 708-422-5658 GOOD LUCK! Gracie

I am self pay but chose a Lap Band. My first choice was a gastric bypass but after three rounds of insurance rejections, I felt I had to self pay. I am using the wish center and it will cost me about $11000 which is about the maximum I can afford.
