You have to do what is right for you.. and I honestly am shocked someone would tell you to seek therapy (above post) I wont go into what I'd like to say to that "person" or your thread would get pulled but lets just say.. ^@#*#@*%!.... and a big EYES ROLLING... Continue to come this is not a board for people having surgery its for everyone who is obese whether your seeking surgery or not.. so continue to post we are all here to support you.. You'll be ok!!! Like no one can figure out who you're talking about... Write me an email if you'd like. When somebody is so afraid of death that they're crying about it, it can sure help to talk to someone. No clue why you should be "shocked" at that suggestion.

You get two brownie points! The issue isnt fear of death its fear of leaving her children without a mother you seemed to miss that point before you spouted off your freudian diagnoses...

"Freudian" ummm noooo.... but we won't get into that. It's easy to see what's on the surface... what's expressed through high emotionality. Truth, healing, and growth lie below. For many of us, WLS is a journey's destination that can only be reached after taking many side roads. I've read Dee's profile. She writes with incredible candor. She writes of hopes and dreams for her future. I, for one, hope she will find the strength to work toward fulfilling them.

I'm just guessing here but you do not have children do you? If you did you would probably understand what she is doing and why she is doing it instead of an attempt at some psycho babble as to why she isnt doing it.... but then apparently you dont think she can have hopes and dreams if she doesnt have surgery? I think Dee is going to be just fine because she has courage.. and she has her family and she's putting the needs of her kids above herself and that is truth and gowth ... for someone to have the ability look at the needs of others and those who depend on her and put them first.
